I found a Canon Sd900 camera for $315 on line through The Digital Expo. I should have known a price this low would mean trouble later. I ordered it and a few days later, Chris from extension 206 called me on Sunday (to confirm my order) and to sell me accessories. He talked me into a $1,300 package with all kinds of "essential" accessories. I asked Chris if his prices were competitive. He said, "the best on the market." I said that I will be returning the items if I find that I can buy them cheaper somewhere else. He said there would be a 20% restocking fee. I said I would not pay a restocking fee if his prices were not, "the best on the market." He didn't respond to this.

The package arrived a week later and an invoice (charged to my visa) showed a total of $1,527.00. Nothing was itemized. How did my $1,300 package become $1,527? After looking at the "essential" accessories, I did some research and discovered I could find all of these things at a much better prices from Staples and Amazon. I called Customer Service at The Digital Expo and spoke with Johnny. I asked him why my price went from the $1,300 quote into a $1,527 invoice. He put me on hold several times to "research" it and could only tell me it was a great price and that they sold these packages for $1,900 during Christmas. I asked him for breakdown prices on the accessories and after he told them to me I told him the prices I found online. He argued everything with me. The lens you found must be plastic and not glass; the memory card you found must not be the Ulra one. He offered to give me a $300 credit on my visa if I did not send back the package.

By now I was developing a real distrust for this company and I told him I wanted to send the entire package back. He became really irrate and said I would have to pay a 20% restocking fee. I said that I had told Chris in the very beginning that I would be sending these items back if they were not the "best on the market" and that I would be instructing my credit card company not to pay this bill. He loudly stated that I would be sent to collections. People, this is not a trustworthy company. Even if you pay more for a camera somewhere else, you are better off not getting involved with this company.
