i have never felt like i should file a report about a company before but this company really burned me .
i contacted the drive shaft shop in feb. 2010 in search for a good price on a drive shaft for my street strip drag car (1970 monte carlo with a 454 bbc twin turbo) i got a price for a c/moly shaft with billet th400 yoke and billet pinion yoke with greasless spicer u joints i paid $720.55 for the complete set up by frank and made sure to repeat myself as to what i was going to be getting and frank said yes your going to be getting c/moly drive shaft with geasless spicer ujoints with billet th400 yoke and billet 12 bolt pinion yoke .
this is where i get ripped off a week later i call wondering if it shipped yet and they still did not ship my parts out so they got shipped out that day
when i recieved my drive shaft there was no billet pinion yoke and the th400 yoke they did send was a forged yoke not a billet yoke they painted the drive shaft and the yoke thinking this would hide the fact they sent me a forged th400 yoke ,
they charged me $175 for the th400 yoke and $150 for the pinion yoke i havent recieved , i called and called and called i could not get ahold of Frank the owner he avoided me, i spoke with Tad and another guy and i kept getting the run around they said they sent the pinion yoke and it was in the box with the drive shaft well the box was empty no yoke ,
at this point i started looking over the drive shaft thats when i was thinking if they could charge me for billet and send forged maybe the drive shaft isnt c/moly i have to take it to get it checked to find out but i did notice they are not spicer ujoints and the th400 yoke is not billet .
TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT they offered to send me the pinion yoke if i would accept the forged th400 yoke and ujoints or they can me a refund if i returned everything but after read that they have ripped people off i decided to take the pinion yoke that was missing and was forced to accept being charged for billet and spicer for forged no brand , IF I SENT IT ALL BACK i would not have gotten a refund and would have taken more of a loss ,
i have not installed any parts yet i need to have the shaft checked for balancing and the material its made of i also i have to buy a billet yoke and ujoints i thinking of just starting over buying from a more repitable company ,
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AVOID BUYING FROM THEM ,
AVOID THE PROBLEMS AND AVOID NOT KNOWING WHAT YOU HAVE FOR PARTS AND
NOT KNOWING IF YOU CAN TRUST THIS DRIVE SHAFT WITH YOUR LIFE GOING DOWN THE TRACK ,
YOU SHOULD GET WHAT YOU PAID FOR BILLET IS BILLET NOT FORGED
LIKE ORDERING A HAMBURGER WITH CHEESE AND GETTING NO CHEESE AND FINDING OUT ITS NOT ACTUALLY HAMBURGER ,GOOD LUCK

this is a follow up on the checking of the driveshaft material it was made of to see if the shaft was chrome molly or not . i took the drive shaft to vermont to a drive shaft shop who makes and balances performance driveshafts ,
the extra reason for taking the drive shaft to vermont was when i ordered everything from the drive shaft shop i gave them the measurments from the tran to the pinion i also told them i was going with the billet yoke well the crappy 30 year drive shaft owner frank did not compensate for the billet yoke being 3/4 inch to 1 " longer so NOW i had to have an inch taken out of the shaft .
So when i took the shaft to vermont i told them of my dealings with the drive shaft shop so they said they will check the material to see what its made of when they cut it open WELL i got the call today the drive shaft is regular drive shaft tube not chrome molly CR DOM like they billed me for I WANT TO KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE OUT THERE WHO BOUGHT A DRIVE SHAFT FROM THEM DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT THIS DRIVE SHAFT SHOP GAVE TO THEM FOR A DRIVE SHAFT .
IF YOU BOUGHT A DRIVE SHAFT AND HAVE THE BILL SAYING CR DOM TUBING GET IT CHECKED OUT i know what they are doing they are ripping people off really bad selling junk i could have made 3 driveshafts for what i was charged by them . what a crappy company .

talk about childish look how the drive shaft shop responds to the truth they lie to people they change the words in emails , i do not sign my emails slow monte... as far as im concerned im done with the drive shaft shop.
i want to ad they did send me the billet yoke they over night mailed it to me just like stated in the emailes they posted and just like i posted i was afraid of returning the order and not get my refund because of someone elses reports about this company .i told them this would make us square so i could at least get the pinion yoke i was missing from my order and we are square now i have to settle for no name brand forged and no name brand non spicer ujoints and no name brand billet pinion yoke and they have to live with a rip of report . were are square because my side is told to new consumers who will have a choice to buy from them or not
im still stuck with the no name brand forged end which i paid $175 for and the non spicer no name brand ujoints they sent and i still dont know what they used for material making the driveshaft c/moly or not i have yet to get it checked out and i have not had it checked for balancing
they emailed me again today saying to send it all back for a refund but im not stupid i know better you can read what they post about people on google this is what i sent them for an email back today
(i have read at rip off report .com and other web sites of other reports that other people posted and they sent there items back to you and were never refunded that how their calls were avoided some had problems with parts vibrating , i do not want to deal with this any more so i took the option that would take the least loss to settle this i took my loss . i would never recommend your drive shaft shop to anyone .and trust me when i say i know a lot of people with cars and building cars in NY im in one of the largest car clubs in northern NY i used to own a speed shop locally people still come to me for advice .i settled for less with you so i will move on keep your return label )
i do not need the stress of dealing with a company like this just watch how they react to this and you can decide to buy from them or not . why would somone make a report if everthing was great

Below is email conversations with what would appear to be a very immature individual, The correspondence below was from late Friday to Monday morning. he was informed verbally many times about what he was getting and even in the emails below. From reading this it would suggest he was not upset and never asked to return the product but was offered it several times. For those reading this please understand this very website is being investigated for Extortion under the RICO act (they would gladly charge us to make the heading a more favorable one) to read further see wickepedia info on the practices of this site. They say they will not remove any post or edit it. We would be curious to see if they will be brave enough to post this
below are emails from the gentleman in question, if any one would like the entire email with date stamps please contact the company info supplied up top by the gentleman. We will be sending a electronic return label to this gentleman requesting him to return the product for a full refund. it will be his decision to accept it or keep the product. Being he has done this i will expect some sort of childish rant after this is posted but we will not as we have said our peace on this matter. just to bring into light what type of person he is, he gave the company 3 credit cards to pay so his wife would not know the true cost of what he purchased..... i spoke to xxxx and this is what he said. The rear yoke is billet. The Trans Yoke is hardened and is for the roller output yoke, the cost for the yoke is 175.00 and not the 95.00 as you were quoted for the standard style yoke from spicer. please get back to me as he has instructed me to send the yoke overnight air to you as long as everything else is ok
our head machinist is out sick today, xxxxx has asked me to handle emails today
as he will running the machine shop and too busy for calls. he asked me if you
were ok with the yoke you were give and if so he will send a pinion yoke. if not he has asked me to send you a return label for the shaft. please let me know what you want to

we only carry that type in the hardened yoke, do you want me to send a return label for it then ?
slow down, i said i would take care of it. as for the yoke there is no brand name the company that makes it does not sell to the general public. the yoke is a forged one and not billet. forgings are stronger and you said you needed a hardened one(its forged with high grade material) a billet yokes microstructure is not as dense as a forging. the only one we carry is a forged/hardened one. this is not to be confused with a Spicer or AAM standard replacement yoke its a high hp top pro-mod type yoke. if your unhappy with the shaft or the service we always offer a full refund for anything not installed. i will be in a meeting this morning and will not be back to the office until after lunch. you will receive a call then.
sorry to hear there is a problem, i will get to the bottom of it monday morning. normally they just use the u-bolts and mount it to the back of the shaft. is there a chance its on the shaft and you didn't realize it ?
