Complaint Review: The Dump

My husband and I were watching TV last night 12/30/2006 and saw an advertisement that was advertising their end of the year sale saying they were dumping everything with no payments until 2008 and no interest ever. Skeptical, we watched the advertisement over and over again on our DVR and sure enough it said no interest ever and the no paymnets until 2008 which it always says anyway on their normal ads.

Since they always advertise 0% interest until the following year, we thought that the no interest ever was something that they were running only for their sale for 12/30/2006 and 12/31/2006, which would actually be a change from their normal sales they run.

When you look at the on line ad it says no interest until 2008, however that is not the ads they are running on TV, which clearly state "NO PAYMENTS UNTIL 2008, AND NO INTEREST EVER"

Since the ad was so enticing we were going to take a ride over and see about getting a new sectional and perhaps a new bedroom set. We are thankful that we called ahead to check about the ad and Manager Roberta, of the Oaks PA store denied the ad that we saw with our very own eyes. Also, not even everyone gets the 0% and the no interest ever thing was denied completely.

Fact be known, the ad on TV DOES state "NO PAYMENTS UNTIL 2008 AND NO INTEREST EVER"

Just be warned that this company does false advertising and call before you go all the way there. I am sure there are going to be a lot of angry customers today when they find out the TV ad is bogus and that the employees are going to deny that is what it said.
