I was beginning to think I was crazy until I read the "bait and switch" entry. I had the same experience two years ago, but didn't realize it in time.  Now the piping on the sofa is coming out.. Here's how it went: We already had in our family room, a top quality black leather sofa and chaise which were made to order. Started looking for a cream colored leather sofa and chair for the living room a little over two years ago when the stores were only showing dark colored leather.  Finally found at The Dump, a smooth leather sofa and chair with dark "wood" along the arm and back of the pieces.  I fell in love with the design and decided to make the purchase.  I hesitated at the price only because I knew the pieces wouldn't get as much use as the ones in our family room, which cost only a little more. But just loved the design.  I inspected both pieces thoroughly before signing anything, so I knew what I was getting.  After the pieces were delivered, I noticed knicks on the "wood" that I knew weren't on the piece I had seen in the showroom.  I called customer service and was given a small adjustment on my $2200 plus tax and "leather" care and warranty bill. Ok, I can find wood stain and hide this...Here's the kicker!!  When the initial phase of just gazing at the furniture was over, I actually sat down and felt the "leather" upholstery.  IF it is leather, it is of the cheapest quality (I am now familiar with the term:composite) and the sections behind the pillows are probably not leather at all. The back part of the pillows has a cardboard-like feel (ugh!) and  I know if the showroom piece felt like that I would definitely not have made the purchase.  So I now feel pretty sure that the showroom furniture was of a better quality than the furniture that was delivered to me, since they definitely didn't deliver the piece tagged for me.  My furniture was made in China and imported by a company located in Coral Springs, FL.  This furniture is not even worth $1000, let alone the $2200 I spent! I wish I had gone back to the custom dealer and spent $3000.  At least I'd be totally satisfied.  I'm only satisfied with this furniture when I'm looking at it from across the room.   I am writing this to warn other consumers of the tactics of this merchant.
