Complaint Review: The Dump

Please Dont do business with The Dump/ Haynes Furniture. They sell defective merchandise!

I puchased a mattress set from the Dump for $1020.00 Two weeks after getting the mattresses it started sinking.  I reported the problem and the company said it was nothing they could do. They said I could report the problem again in 90 days.

I reported the sinking a year after having the mattresses and the Dump gave me such a hard time. I was told I couldnt get my money back but reselect another mattress set. I did that and had the same problem a week after getting my second set of mattresses.

I reported the problem again and was told my only option was to reselect or spend more money and get another mattress. I told them I didnt want another mattress I wanted my money back. I was told that was not possible.

I reselected a 3rd set and when the people delivered the set it had a large hump in it. I was told I would need to send that one back and they would send a new set. The company sent 3 more defective mattresses after that. In total I have had 6 defective mattresses delivered to my home.

I was so upset after the 6th mattress I contacted the store and asked why cant I just get my money back. I was finally told I could have a refund. After having to return all the mattresses I had to wait for the company to get the mattresses back into the warehouse.

Now this store is only open Fri- Sun so that means They may or may not handle your business in one weekend . I purchased the mattresses using 2 cards and some cash. I told them I closed one of the accounts. The mattress manager Bill and business office manager Angela told me they had to put the money back on the card even though the account was closed. They sent me a receipt showing the refund onto the closed account. I told them that the back said it is impossible to refund money to a closed account. They told me to take the reciept to the back and they would give me my money in a check.

I told them that would not happen. They told me there was nothing they could do. I went to the back and had a printout showing the account was closed and that the deposit didnt go to the account. I tried calling the store to let them know what information I had and Angela has yet to call me back. Im going to have to visit the store to get my money back.
