So the old saying is that you get what you pay for.  That really holds true with The Dump.  Stay far away from this place.

Recently we purchased a sectional sofa from The Dump.  I found the sales person to be somewhat pushy

but not as bad as other places.  He turned out to be pretty helpful and that is the highlight of any positive comments I have about this place.  After a month, the threads on one part of the sectional started pulling out.  It seemed to get worse daily.  I contacted The Dump who sent someone to look

at it.  This person had a bad attitude the moment he hit the door.  He made a few pictures, said we would hear from him in a couple of business days and was gone less than 5 minutes.

Weeks went by with no word from The Dump.  I finally placed a call on 12/19.  After being on hold for 30 minutes I was told that my Account Manager, Donnie would have to call me back.  No call was ever received.  No big surprise.  So the next day I called back and demanded to speak with Donnie.  He said that the furniture was reported as customer abused and therefore was not covered under any warrenty.  He would not listen to any reason.

The Dump is owned by New Venture Holdings.  I contacted them for a resolution.  What I received was an email from Ray Durham (Customer Service Manager) stating that they stood behind the initial report.   

So, in short, what you save in the furniture price you will make up for if you ever need customer service. Save yourself the heartache and pay the slight difference at a reputable retailer like Havertys.
