The DVDPlanet.Org ,Universal Gift Ventures, bills card, fails to ship merchandise Mississauga Ontario
On November 13,2007 I ordered a "WKRP in Cincinnati" 4 disc set (SKU112013) at a cost of 52.99, USD. My credit card was billed for this amount by Universal Gift Ventures, Mississauga, ON November 16, 2007. I received a notification via e-mail on November 20 that my order, 638538, had been shipped, tracking # CE512799944CA, with an anticipated delivery date of November 27-30. This tracking number was invalid with both Canada Post and USPS.
The order did not arrive.
On November 30, an e-mail was received from support@dvdplanet.org thanking me for my patience. It stated my order had been shipped to the wrong address, and was being reshipped. No tracking numbers were given. The post said their shipping system was down, and all orders were being shipped manually. Expected arrival was given for December 6-8. I sent an e-mail to support@dvdplanet.org asking what address the order was shipped to, and said that a correct address had been given when the order was placed. I received no reply.
On December 13, I contacted DVDPlanet.org with my concerns, and received the following e-mail:
Hello,
Your replacement order has been shipped out already. It was due Dec 6-8th, but with the busy Christmas season, a small delay can be expected.Your order should be there within a matter of a few business days.

Today is Monday, December 17, 2007. I have yet to receive the order which my card was billed for on November 16.
In light of this, and the numerous reports from other consumers which are virtually identical to mine, there is no choice but to believe the worst. I have contacted DVDPlanet.org and requested a full refund be credited to my card by close of business (3 pm CST) Friday, December 21, 2007.

with your credit card company. That's the way to shut them off until they set up a new website and billing company. If they get enough charge backs, the CC companies will refuse to deal with them.
Also, if you receive product and it's obviously bootlegged illegal copies of shows recorded from a tv broadcast, keep the product and file a complaint to your cc company for a full charge back. Explain that they sold you (unbeknown to you) illegal product and that you have the product as evidence. Also, you should notify US and Canadian authorities that they are selling illegal product.
Good luck.

Funny, that's not what is being posted on this site by Paul Jacob, who represents himself as the owner of TheDVDPlanet.org. In part, his posts defending this company state, "...And if during this ENTIRE PROCESS you are not 100% satisfied with the Service you have received from TheDVDPlanet.org, we are always more then happy to provide you with a FULL REFUND of your order..."
I an VERY unhappy with the service received from TheDVDPlanet.org. They have had $52.99 of my money since November 16 without providing the DVD set I ordered. Should the DVD's actually arrive (which I seriously doubt will happen), delivery will be refused.
Put my money where your mouth is, Mr. Jacobs. Give this dissatisfied customer her full refund.
