The Engine Shoppe aka Quality Engine Rebuilding Falsely charged "core charge"; engine had low, low oil psi. Owner failed to repair the problem. Then lied in court. Internet

A few years back (beyond statute of limitations) these jokers 'rebuilt' my Toyota 4AGEC engine.  Price was supposed to be $995.
They falsely added a 'core charge' -- when I asked to have my core back so I could inspect it they claimed they had already got rid of it! ( = instant $200 profit for them)
The engine had very, very low oil psi @ 800 rpm idle. = unacceptable for a re-manufactured engine. (Low oil psi = main, rod, cam bearing excessive clearance; or
oil pump excessive clearance; or oil galley plug left out!)

Engine Shoppe's 'fix' was to idle the engine @ 1,600 rpm = unacceptable AND will not pass smog if the engine cannot idle.

Went to small claims where owner committed perjury and said, "Nothing's wrong--this guy is just trying to rip me off."
Unknown to me at the time, Consumer Affairs employee, Tim Murphy (who NEVER talked to me nor saw my engine!) sided with Engine Shoppe !?! Unbelievable!

Commissioner Singer never looked at my engine (car was in parking lot with two oil gauges: one on the dash, one under the hood)
After not looking at any of my evidence, the Judge claimed, "YOU didn't PROVE your claim. No judgment for plaintiff." I don't want to see anyone else get ripped off!!
I got ZERO $$$ .  Engine Shoppe got $1,300 (for engine "rebuild", core, tax.) I had paid cash and had no way of recovering--I just had to go elsewhere and pay again and get the engine rebuilt properly.
This joker advertises in the Christian Yellow pages and in my opinion fleeces the flock.
