The Enigma Software Group USA LLC Spyhunter software does NOT do what it's adveritised to do. Company won't give refunds. New Haven Connecticut
I purchased Spyhunter anti-spyware software from Egnima on Feb. 15th, 2009. I had it running on my pc on May 25th, 2009 when my PC contracted a very bad malware.
I had to call in a PC tech to my house to clean it out at the cost of $115. I took pictures while the PC Tech was here and cleaning my pC. The logs and malware cleaning info.
I also had Norton Antivirus on my PC, as well, at the time. I wrote to them and asked them for a refund. Without question, they refunded my account right away in full.
I wrote to Egnima and got the same person each time I wrote. Each time, he argued with me and told me it was my fault for contracting the malware and that he "was not going to give" me a refund.

This company is a nightmare. These claims are not unfounded.
They are a company in the middle of a class action suit against them for fraud as filed by Nicole Sherrod in Ohio on the behalf of customers that were fraudulently charged on their credit card and never honored refunds, amounting in a $5 million suit filed on January 13, 2014. Case # 2:13-cv-00036-JLG-TPK
They also go around posting harmful material about their competition in order to make money. See this comment from Adam Piggott on VirusTotal:
"Reports from clients suggest that it is impossible to cancel subscriptions to this software. It seems almost completely ineffective but worse, there seem to be quite a lot of fake web sites set up with "reviews" that are clearly biased and fabricated. Those who have been working in the computer world for long enough are well aware of Enigma's reputation."

I am a customer service representative at Enigma Software Group, the makers of SpyHunter. We apologize for the fact that you had problems with the software and billing.
Your complaint sounds like you said that either SpyHunter infected your computer or that it might have let the infection come to your PC. However, we can guarantee that SpyHunter is and never was infected with any Malware.
Infections come to your computer when you browse online and sometimes, not even the best software programs can avoid the infection, but we can certainly remove it. As you said, you also had Norton installed and the infection was able to bypass SpyHunter and Norton Antivirus.
Also, regarding to the refund, I do not understand your complaint. You wrote two controversial sentenses as follows: "I wrote to them and asked them for a refund. Without question, they refunded my account right away in full" and "Each time, he argued with me and told me it was my fault for contracting the malware and that he "was not going to give" me a refund".
I am not sure of you were awarded with a refund or not but I would like to inform that we have an email for complaints and that we will accommodate every request sent to us. Please email us at complaints@enigmasoftware.com.
We are very serious dealing with our customers and we work hard to maintain the best level of service and make sure that every customer becomes a satisfied customer.
