Complaint Review: The Exposure Studios

1st AMENDMENT RIGHTS TO INFORM THE CONSUMER OF FRAUD!

Here are several complaints...From consumers who have been ripped off from Jim Richer and the Satelite Branch in Culver City hosted by Tristen.

Jim Richer and Tristen are trying hard to remove postings from these list and other complaint websites by finding ways to use the people who are wanting to profit for there consumers instead of actually using the consumer to tell the truth. (Using employees to help tell lies to remove consumer complaints.)

MAY 2012**MOST RECENT**

I wish Id had enough experience with the industry to know that I should have walked away the minute I arrived at my photo shoot with Jim Richer. From minute one he was a complete a**holewhen he found out where Id gone to school he started bitching about how he was supposed to shoot graduation photos for them and grilling me about how the pictures the guy they went with turned out. I was caked in the makeup and my hair looked ridiculous, but I didnt make a fuss because I assumed this studio knew what they were doing.

Let me begin this, actually, by saying that I only got headshots done here because the agency suggested him to mewithout letting me know that they were connected businesses, and he was the agents husband. Classy.

The shoot itself was creepy and uncomfortable. He kept trying to convince me to do looks with camisoles Id only brought to wear UNDER my headshot outfits, and when I told him that I didnt want to do that hed roll his eyes like I was some kind of prude. I wanted character shots and told him so, and yet he kept insisting on dramatic shots. Then, because he thoughtI guess?that it would make the shots more intense, he started saying really suggestive things to make me react. When I stared at him in shock he said just go with it, Im just going to say things and you react. Again, I assumed that being the professional he was, that the shots would be worth all the insanity. At the end of the day when it was FINALLY over, he sat down with me for a heart to heart about how great my look is and how he thinks Im really talentedand that there just-so-happened to be a six week acting class starting in the workshop (also part of their business) next door that I just *had* to attend because it would be perfect for me.

This studio is my cautionary tale. And the headshots? I cried when I got them, because I cant use a single one of them. Horrible. A waste of $500 dollars.

THE WORST!!! STAY AWAY. Crazy, unprofessional & a liar. Except for a few CDs he has a horrible reputation in Hollywood. Waste of time & money.

Interesting thing is on the Exposure website, Dan Ireland is mentioned, who was also a part of the Tristan Cutler version of the Celebrity Mentor Project. He was supposed to bring in all these celebrities at his studio in Culver City as well. He wanted everyone to sign a contract for 900 bucks, with no way out, with the main coach being Dan. Of course the selling point was that he recently directed Jessica Chastain, which means you might be discovered too! Anyway Im sure Dan is legit, but he is NOT a top director.

The Exposure Studios-Celebrity Mentor Program is a scam; No celebrity has entered these doors, its nothing but "has been" casting directors(which there are hundreds in Hollywood) that need your money to pay for the expensive habits of thier past inner-circles.



Freedom has hosted many workshops at Thexposure Studios and has suckered many NEW and UNEXPERIENCED actors and has learned from his mistakes of false advertisments. (Again he a Black Country Boy From Tenessee who's just imitates what he has learned in Hollywood thus far) Which is to sell people dreams of maybe getting a shot in this casting directors next movie.



The scams, are to make the New and Unexperienced actors believe that they will be ready to work after they take courses from The Exposure studio's Celebrity Mentor Program.



The Exposure Studios will also give the illusion that they have Real Sets, Real Props, Real Celebrities and will put you in front of them.-Lies



If you want to pay for Acting Classes then you've come to the right place, because that is all your paying for and nothing more.



So, Jim Richer, Stop Lying about your work you've done nothing...



If you Look up Jim Richer on IMDB you find that Jim Richer has done the following



Intimate Obsession (art department production assistant) 1992-(THAT'S IT NOTHING ELSE) Plus NO Picture of the Guy.



If you Look up James Richer on IMDB you will find 7 actor titles all small roles(nobodies/on nobody films 1993-1998) and 2 XXX features that he starred in as Jim Richer, AGAIN NO PICTURE so it might not be him. If you look up Port O'Charles they have the full cast of the show he not in it so its NOT him.



He'll tell you that he was an actor doing a Television Series. WOW! There only one Jim Richer and only one James Richer and your either an 1 time art department production assistant of a PORN or you are PRETENDING to be a Television Series actor that as only had 7 small roles in a 5yr spand...and 2 SOFT PORN FEATURES.



Your Name or face doesn't even show up on IMDB, someone who talks as much crap as you, of course the consumer would think you can be easily found. You "Name Drop" too many Active Celebrities names as if they know you and they are able to work with you.-All Lies I used to work for Jim, side by side, I quit because of sexual Harrasment, low wages,plus he staged a robbery for insurance claims.





Be Careful New Hollywooders-This is real (The Reason that this is not in the BBB b/c Jim Richer or Thexposure Studio-The Exposure Studio-is not registered w/BBB.







AUGUST 2011



Jim Richer is scam artist. My cousin took my neice to thexposure studio and took her out after 6 months. My cousin was promised classes with the people from Disney and Nickelodian. My cousin said she never saw any of the people (pictured on his wall) like Jerry Trainer or any of the actors from Wizards of Waverly Place or Sonny with a Chance there. He is a fast talking scammer. He insisted on setting up a photo shoot for my niece. He first offered the photo shoot at $300 and then jacked up the price to $500. He claimed we needed hair and makeup and that he would not release any photos until touch ups had been done and paid for. Any one in their right mind knows that makeup is not required for small children. This place is a scam and all my cousins conversations with Jim ended up in what have you signed up for and I need your cc number. He doesnt even take the time to get to know his clients! His rating should be zero!!!

Jim is utterly RUDE and unprofessional!! He spends more time criticizing and braging about his father/grandfather and who he knows at NBC and Disney than he does actually hearing about your individual needs. He is Quick to misunderstand and say I dont need your money and offers no true guidance. I pity the soul under his confusion and trajic misdirection. I beg you to save your money and time speaking to him. He clearly has a mental problem, insecurity, and ADD. Hes a worthless soul with one-sided views, and no flexibility. He lies and stumbles over himself in his flip flopping words. He gets REALLY ANGRY when you catch him in a lie; just try asking about his website or celebrity encounters. THERE ARE NO TRUE SUCCESS STORIES. Hes just a fast talking, name dropping loser. It is my American DUTY to help you and say: GO ELSEWHERE; for the prices he would offer in this broke down shack on 741 N. Cahuenga; he offers the same services/contacts for free at USC and UCLA and their faculty is much more qualified. (1st Amendment)
