I recently purchased a Sharp tv/monitor from an on-line retailer and there was a $100CDN mail in rebate offer from Express Group on the unit. All information requested was submitted to Express Group for the rebate and after a few weeks, I received an e-mail stating I did not comply with the terms of the offer because the retailer or purchase location was not valid for the offer. There was no limitations placed on the rebate form indicating what stores were valid. I see this as a lame excuse to avoid honoring the rebate.

After a few e-mails back and forth with Sharp Electronics, Sharp intervened and the problem got solved, big thanks to Sharp. Express Group was noticably absent throughout the process with no responses to e-mail sent to them. Watch these guys, they are not to be trusted.
