The Fernandes Law Firm NSF check, won't make good, won't pay for virtual services provided ripoff Milwaukee Wisconsin
J. P. Fernandes contacted me in December 2006 to provide virtual transcription services to his small law firm, sending me a small retainer.
When the retainer was gone, I emailed Mr. Fernandes an invoice. He paid with a check that subsequently bounced. Between the time that the check bounced and was returned from my bank, I did more work for Mr. Fernandes.
When contacted, he promised to send a replacement check. He has never done this, despite being contacted many times. He was also offered the option of paying by credit card using PayPal, but has never responded to any of my requests to pay for work completed.
J. P. Fernandes does not honor his commitments to pay for work completed and should be avoided by anyone coming in contact with him.

The person in question has not delivered services to the expectations. Once we realized that the services were done inadequately, we contacted Alice, but she refused to refund the services. Fortunately, the check has not yet cleared and therefore we were able to stop payment.
