43 year-old Benjamin P. Morris and 48 year-old Jeff Lorenzo Bellamar (aka Jeff Amar, aka Geoffrey Scott Amar) continue to bilk clients for $10,000 to $25,000 “underwriting fees” each under the guise of providing financial services – specifically, independent film finance. Neither can provide evidence of any formal banking or other business finance relevant relationships, proof of funds, a list of satisfied clients as references, nor can they provide the name of their company attorney. In fact, these two owe my company and others that have been in touch with me, tens of thousands of dollars each, plus mounting civil damages. Jeff, being the predictable scam artist that he is, quickly moved from his condo just before the process server came out on January 4th. As a result, now the police department, the district attorney, and the state attorney general can address this case due to several parties being conned out of their money which Ben and Jeff split 50/50 then use to support themselves and their lifestyles. These are unlawful acts and come with stiff criminal and civil penalties.
Jeff and Ben even had the audacity to call several members of my team to ask them to engage in business and for a short-term personal/business loan of $7,500 using the title to Jeff's 2001 BMW 740 as collateral -- after receiving verbal and written notice from me to sever the business relationship and requesting a full refund! I have the images and swron statements from my team members who are prepared to testify when needed.
As I dig further, I continue to find evidence of long history of fraud by Jeff Bellamar, who has apparently convinced Benjamin Morris, founder of The Film Matrix MoviewWorks LLC to conspire in clearly unfair and unlawful acts of fraud and misrepresentation. There are a number of people and law enforcement agencies trying to find Jeffrey Bellamar for legal and personal reasons resulting from his continuing schemes. He has worked at Montecito Ventures, Worldwide Finance Group, Bellamar Capital and claims to be a former broker at Structured Growth Capital (query it yourself). He has numerous d/b/a’s which he uses to open bank accounts for his ongoing scams and is very illusive.
Benjamin Morris feels he has a legal and legitimate defense by virtue of signatures on a single document presented under false & misleading terms within the scope of his scam. After taking several clients funds upfront, he was suddenly able to afford to “hire” his wife Robin Morris on with the Film Matrix Movie Works LLC and buy himself a new vehicle. Only problem with that is they used the client’s monies to support themselves and their lifestyles without providing any services. In addition, I have proof that several businesses have requested refunds multiple times after realizing they have been misled and scammed, yet Ben and Jeff can’t produce the money and assume they’re in the clear. These guys think they can somehow prove to a court of law that a document provided and signed under fraudulent and misrepresented terms, clearly meant to cause harm and/or deceive a customer, is somehow an admissible defense, and cause to steal.
Reports and complaints have been filed with the State of California Department of Justice, the State of California Attorney General, The Los Angeles Police Department (Commercial Crimes Bureau), and the Los Angeles County District Attorney. The police department tells me that because these two have scammed multiple parties there is cause for a criminal investigation to support the civil actions to follow. I have any attorney who now represents two of the parties and invite others to consider also becoming his client in this matter.
Please help me and the four other parties that were scammed out of their money to find Jeff Lorenzo Bellamar so that he and Ben Morris can face justice as I seek remedy through the court system for additional damages!

My production partners have encountered the exact same scam perpetrated by Bellamar and Morris. As of last fall, about five or six separate parties, per Mr. Morris' own statements, had been contracted as clients to "arrange funding" for their film projects. This funding has never materialized, and repeated requests for the $10,000 have gone either ignored or with dodgy responses. NOW, Bellamar and Morris are claiming they can find funding through yet another source, IF the producers put up 10% of the budget(s) for their films in a verified account. This is a very old scam, where the money eventually gets shifted to an escrow account and then disappears, leaving the producers and their investors at a loss. These lower amounts for scamming also are of a sort that doesn't make a lawsuit cost-effective. So the only alternative is to find as many victims of Bellamar and Morris and align them in a class action suit. BEWARE if these men approach you or try to convince you of their capacities to raise money for ANYTHING. Can't find evidence of anything they've yet funded.
