I applied to a Web Design job post on Craigslist and received a phone call from an individual by the name of Jeannine Rudolph who was representing cybernetdevelopment.com. They hired me immediately during our first phone call and had me fill out a contract with their company via remote desktop login application. The project manager Holland Jackson (aka Michael) called me and asked me to pay for an online training course so that I can have the proper training before I start my job. I paid the $71.25 to attend this bogus online academy called thefreelanceracademy.com ran by an individual name Tyler Brewman which I suspect is Holland Jackson. What I found suspicious was the academy had buevo@outlook.com in their calendar as the contact email. I found that Buevo is owned by Holland Jackson who supposedly had no relations to that academy. Anyways, I ended up watching free YouTube videos and not once did Tyler Brewman provide any personalized training himself. After I had completed watching the videos, they had me take an online test that was pulled from a completely different website and none of the "training" videos covered any of the questions that were on the test, which I found quite strange. After passing the so-called test, I received some home-made certificate which stated that I had learned Website Security which I did not as none of the free YouTube videos nor the test actually covered web security. The company's job post on indeed stated that I will need learn Website Firewall and Malware Security to do my job, and not a single time did the videos discuss any of those things. They posted a job ad that is misleading as it states that I would be working for them for 30/hrs a week, instead they had me sign up to freelancer.com and find freelance jobs "in case their company didn't have enough work for me" per Holland Jackson via SMS. This company is involved in an online scam and refuses to refund my money.
