I am the owner of Handyman Connection in Elmsford NY.  I was contacted by this company which has a contract with the GAP to do maintenance on their stores.  They wanted to have a fire extinguisher re-mounted at the GAP in Mt. Kisco.  The work was completed on 9/17/13 for the "not to exceed" amount they proposed of $150.  We faxed an invoice to them on 9/18/13, for the $150 plus applicable tax of $11.25, for a total of $161.25

Multiple phone calls to their accounting department have led to promises to pay, statements that the check would be on “the next check run,” or promises to “look into it” and call back.  As of 1/3/2014, we have not been paid for the job.  We can only assume they are a shady outfit with no intention of paying.

I called the GAP coporate office today and spoke to someone in thier facilities management department and she said I had to take it up with ServiceComUSA, their subcontractor.  I guess the GAP does not care that are using companies to maintain their stores who do not pay the subcontractors they use.
