Complaint Review: The General insurance co.

The General insurance co. low down payment...customer service....I Applied for an auto policy and was given a down payment of over 150.00 then they raised my rate after only 30 days I then cancelled my policy and was refused any refund what so ever....they should have refunded part of my down payment I was treated rudly when I asked for a refund and told I would get nothing.....no insurance co. has ever treated me as badly as the general did.....take this as a warning. Internet

 I was attempting to lower my insurance cost and applied to the general....I have a spotless driving record since 1978 am 60 yrs. old and thought that would account for something...I was given a quote of 121.00 down and 41.00 a month....not bad right,after agreeing to terms my down payment was raised to over 150.00 due to poor credit rating I was told then my first month payment was 41.00 as promised then my second month was over 52 a month,

I called to complain and was treated very rudly and told they had the right to raise rates as they see fit,I cancelled policy and requested a refund and was told I would get nothing back as no law required them to refund anything...not only does this company pratice in deciptive advertising thier customer service is terrible.....I returned to geico and have been treated as a customer should.
