READERS DIGEST VERSION

Guys, if you want to read details, scroll down but if you want the quick snapshot bottom line here it is and being as candid as possible:

A. Incorrectly installed my Match Trigger which could have lead to an unsafe condition of the firearm as it was not functioning correctly. THE GLOCK STORE MGT were extremely unwilling and it was only after I made threats to go on Yelp and this site, did they finally agreed to fix what should have been done before leaving store!

B. Ruined and incorrectly fitted my Match Grade Barstow Barrel and refused to accept responsibility: THE GLOCK STOR MGT again was extremely unwilling to accept responsibility and again only decided to pay shipping as I had again told them I would write about this experience on this site. Their Custom Gunsmith took too much metal off, thus the barrel was no more accurate than my stock Glock barral because of their gunsmiths who clearly and again were incompetant and did not fit it correcrtly.

C. Absolutely worse Customer Service Ever! Hope nobody has to ever be subjected to the abuse I received! I will say however, the customer service reps were extremely sympathatic and cordial. The ones I spoke to agreed I was right and they would pass my concerns to upper management. It is the upper management that was extremly discourteous, rude, and spoke to me in a tone that was very unprofessional. I spent $1200 with this store and for them to deny they errored is horrible! The worse part was the GM was bragging the Barstow Barrel at their cost was only $30.00. Once they received my gun, I finally got word that they could not find anything wrong with the gun, even uploaded a Utube Video showing them rapid firing it and no malfunctions. Even uploaded a photo of the target which was clearly a 7" and probably larger group. This was clearly insulting as I wasn't complaining about the gun jamming, I had specifically told them the accuracy between both barrels were same. The GM refused to replace barrel and for the $30.00 that could have saved the day, he chose to ignore and brush me aside. And then the comment he made how I could go ahead and write reviews becuase nobody would believe me since they are a huge store. Not exact words of course but the arrogance for sure.

Conclusion

My honest conclusion about this store is this; If you know exactly what you want and you know you will never have problems with the product, these guys are a great bunch of guys. However, if you buy anything and are not happy with, this is where the problems will show. And if you have their gunsmith's do any work, if they make any mistakes do not expect them to make it right. There is no excuse for incorrectly installing both my trigger and match barral, none what so ever. They were more interested in making sure I would have to jump through hoops to get my product in working order than anything else. I have dealt with many stores, never have I ever had this kind of treatment. I would recommend go read the reviews on Yelp in the "Not recommended" section and other reports on this site, everybody cannot be wrong.

Approximately 1.5 years ago, I purchased a brand new Glock 34 from this store with the following options:

1. Gen4 Glock 34

2. Tungsten Heavy Duty Guide Rod

3. Pyramid Ultimate Trigger

4. Sent my Match Grade Newly purchased Barstow Barrel to have them fit it.

After spending $1,200 dollars with the labor and gunsmith work, they shipped the pistol to me. About 7 months later, another guy at the range had a Ghost performance trigger and his "reset" was not sticking like mine. I wrongly assumed light triggers cause a sticky feel and assumed all match triggers were like that! Wrong! His was just as light but did not stick. I then called the Glock Store and they told me since it has already been well over 7 months, they would look at it but I would have to pay for shipping because this was something I should have told them right away and not 7 months later. Regardless I did not install the trigger and it was incorrectly adjusted from their gun smith department. I had explained to them I was not going to pay shipping as they told me the gun has been test fired before it left their custom gun shop and it should have been corrected then. They were extremely reluctant to pay for shipping and the management had a really bad attitude. They finally agreed to pay the shipping cost and once they received the pistol, the customer service rep then agreed yes they did error and they adjusted the screws on the back of trigger and then sent it back to me. The trigger was now fine but have read stories about other competing brand triggers, if the trigger under/over travel is not properly adjusted, it could cause the gun to discharge both on the pull and the reset which was horrific!

Then, I was the range on a seperate occasion and I switched out my Barstow Match Barrel that they fitted with my stock barrel to see if there really was a difference in accuracy. I am not that great of a shot but recently improved dramatically. After putting 50 rounds through both barrels, I then realized my stock barrel was actually shooting tighter groups than my Match Barstow. At this point, I took my gun to the front counter and had their gunsmith take a look. He then told me the stock barrel was actually locking up tighter than my Barstow Barrel- thus whoever at THE GLOCK STORE worked on it, appearently took too much metal off, thus basically ruining it permenantly. I wanted to get a second opinion so I took it to another gunsmith and between him and another who was the best shooters at the store, took both barrels, the stock and the Barstow, and after putting 5 rounds each at 60ft, one had a 2.5" group and the other had a 3" group, both said both barrels were shooting the exact same size groups and if it were them they would be pissed as hell spending over $200 on a match barrel and the stock was shooting the same as the match! They also agreed by the filing marks on the match barrel that THE GLOCK STORE custom shop ruined the barrel by removing not only too much material, but also from places where it was not supposed to come off! I then called Barstow and they told me their barrel out of the box should not have any play back and forth which there was plenty of it and more than my stock barrel! When I held the barral up to the phone, he was like no way, they definitely took too much metal off but said because they installed it Barstow could not do anything for me.

I then called the Glock Store and after complaining and raising hell, they finally agreed to pay shipping but the GM said he would look at it but make no promises. About a week later, I called in and the GM told me he had all three gunsmiths look at it....and before he could finish his sentance, I told him the letter I sent, I specifically told him I wanted the gun shipped to barstow direct and with a replacement barrel and their gunsmiths were not to touch it as I clearly did not want them ruining another barral. He then said they were sending pistol back because they could not find anything wrong with it. He said they have a video as proof which they simply showed a person firing my pistol rapid fire about 17 rounds. I was amazed because I never complained it was jamming, what did showing that have anything to do wtih the fact both barrels were shooting the same size groups! The GM clearly failed again to address the real issue and just like my trigger was incorrectly installed, just how my barrel was incorrectly fitted, and they incorrectly addressed the problem, there is no way I can recommend this store to anybody and hopefully when I contact the States Attorney they can take some action. I doubt it but will give it the old college try.
