I would like to share my horrible experience with you about the GRAND MAYAN TIMESHARE in mexico. Me and my husband decided to go to Cancun, Mexico for our honeymoon. As we arrived at the Cancun airport , we were bombarded with "taxi rides". Thats were it all began for us. There were little kiosks offering taxi rides and then they offer you $200 in cash and free breakfast if you go and see the Mayan Palace hotel. Sounded great to us. Little did we know what a disaster it was going to be.
We arrived at the hotel, went to get breakfast with our sales rep and she told us what a wonderful experience she has owning this timeshare. She gets to go all over the world for nearly fraction of the cost. LIES LIES LIES !!!!!!!     She probably didn't  even own it, if she would she would know what a money sucking machine this whole thing is. Afterwards , she showed us one of this fancy 2 bedroom units with a jacuzzi on the balcony making us thing that that's what we're going to get if we buy this timeshare. WHAT A BIG LIE  !!!!!!
After hours at their table with misleading facts  and plenty of NO's ,NO THANK YOU's from us, they kept bringing more top sales people in to bring down the price until we agreed. The bottom line is then make you believe that you're going to stay in 5 star hotels anywhere around the world for only 400/week which is soooooo not true. This was the best LIE ever that it was an investment and you can make money doing this. They give you 4 weeks , you can eigther use them or rent them.  ALL LIES !!!!!!!!! you will never be able to rent. You'll just be paying , paying , paying  and paying until you will loose your mind and call a lawyer to stop this thing.

I'm calling my lawyer right now. So anyone interested in getting together and suing this bastards for what they did , contact me at marina00024@yahoo.com.

Yes, unfortunately Mayan Palace is one of the most fraudulent resorts!! I also had a bad experience with them, the way they treated me, and all the lies i've heard.
The worst thing is that once you fall into their scam tactics it's almost impossible to get out.
Here's a list of complaints about this resort i've found recently,
you should take a look: timesharescam.com/timeshare-complaints-resorts-black-list/3-mayan-palace-timeshare-complaints/
Don't give up, i still have hope that sooner or later we are going to make a difference against those thieves.

I assume you returned to Vida Vacations' sales office.  You may have approached the wrong person.  When you sign the paperwork, you are brought into a private office, where you met the Member Services Representative.  He/she told you the transaction is being recorded, and he/she gave you a business card.  Your Member Services Representative IS the person who can cancel your timeshare purchase.  Presumably, you received a letter or form canceling your timeshare purchase.  Send your timeshare cancellation letter/form to PROFECO, and Vida Vacations will refund your money.  It takes up to 3 weeks before you will see the credit on your credit card account.

Many clients have complained that when they go to cancel within the 5 day period, they tell them that their deposit is non-refundable, and they are then persuaded into a downgraded membership.

Mayan Palace Timeshare Scam

The sales tactics are the same for everyone at Grupo Mayan. Hard sell, disrespectful when you say no, broken promises. DO NOT think for one moment that you have an upper hand...these are professional con artists highly trained to take your money. You have no chance of ever seeing your money again or receiving anything close to the value you were promised. Assume that everything posted by Grupo Mayan and its affiliates is a lie or a scam. Never do business with this company; never buy a mayan palace timeshare scam.

Beware, this is an scammer resort. Timeshare scams are on the rise and this needs to stop. Villa del Palmar’s Sales Practice has a well recognize reputation for the lies, scams and most likely to misrepresented the contract at the moment of signing. Villa del Palmar sales associate like any other sales person will tell you all the wonders you want to hear to make a purchase, most timeshare presentation last 90 minutes, but at Villa del Palmar you can be up to 4 hrs in there. Mayan Palace Scam

Mayan Palace is known for being a very fraudulent timeshare company in Mexico, their sales tactics are high-pressure and deceitful. Dealing with Mayan Palace after the purchase of your timeshare can be a little frustrated. Especially because customer service wont get you the answers you expect to get when it comes on how to use your timeshare or trying to Book your next vacations, lucky if you are able to do book anything. I know a company called Mexican Timeshare Solutions that can give you a free consultation on how to get out of your timeshare, you should contact them, this is their website:
