Lying, raising prices, terrible customer service and only mediocre work. The Hand Car Wash in San Antonio is a huge rip off. LATE! I arrived at their Brandeis location on time for an 8:30am appointment and no employees were there. 15 minutes later when the manager arrived he told it was their policy and he could open shop up to 15 minutes late and it was ok. RIP OFF! I had an appointment for the most expensive service, the Big Kahuna Deluxe Detailing package with a large vehicle premium for my Suburban, I was expecting to pay just over $200 but they wanted more ofmymoney. When he looked at my car he said because it is dirty, I will have to pay an extra $80. OF COURSE ITS DIRTY, THAT’S WHY I BROUGHT IT TO A CAR WASH, IT IS YOUR JOB TO CLEAN IT!! He told me it will take an hour to vacuum, I told him if I could make $80 an hour vacuuming I would quit my good paying corporate job and work for him. He kept telling me how dirty my car is. I know its dirty, we have a suburban because we have 3 kids in soccer, it is supposed to get dirty, then I am supposed to bring it to the car wash. The detailing was a surprise gift to my wife so I had to suck it up and pay the extra amount so as not to ruin the gift. APPALING CUSTOMER SERVICE He told me not to treat him like s**t. No service worker should ever use profanity to a customer. I was the customer and the upset one and I never swore at him. I’m not offended that he cursed, just disgusted that he didn’t know any better. THE SERVICE When I picked the car up 5 hrs later, it was done well, but nothing special. There were stains in the trunk they didn’t get out. My car was parked in the corner of their lot with the back gate open to air it out, when they pulled it forward, back gate still open, it scraped across overhanging tree branches. It didn’t leave any permanent marks, but these guys should know better and trim their trees. They had all of my floor mats in the trunk, still wet. They told me to go home, dry them off and put them back. I think for $300 they should have don’t that for me. This was a bad experience by a company which is run by guys who put their priorities over the customer’s. They are lazy, deceitful, greedy and don’t care about providing customer service. I will never go back.
