This company has bombarded us with mailings and phone calls (even though we have never ordered services from them and are on a do-not-call list). Earlier this year they caught me at a busy time and asked if I had power to make decisions for my husband's small business. I said yes but did not realize I was giving an OK for an ad to be prepped. When they called him demanding payment they played a recording in which I said I could make these decisions. The part of the conversation left out of this recording was my inquiry as to the services continuing to be free. (I thought I was talking to someone from the REAL yellow pages (DEX) with whom we DO receive a free online listing with our paid ad in the DEX yellow pages book).
My husband decided to pay the bill ($153.00 prep fee-"discounted" from what would have been a $400 ad-so they said) and chalk it up to "being scammed" but I feel I was duped and want to get this message out to anyone else who might be vulnerable. Do NOT fall for this company's persistent and very misleading pressures. The charge was made to our debit card through a Canadian address (what's up with THAT?) even though this company is supposedly based in VA.
If you are taken advantage ofby this predatory company, do follow up with your attorney general in your state as well as the Better Business Bureau as is my next planned step.
