A mothers ring was purchased for me as a christmas gift. The ring was attractive however the setting it was in was too long to fit my finger. On December 27th I stopped into the store to see if they would be willing to redo the ring into a different setting for me,even though the store sign clearly reads satisfaction guaranteed, he said he would be glad to do this for me however he would need to charge me an extra 125.00. I without hesitation wrote a check immediately to cover the additional charges. We then found a different setting he said the ring would be ready the first week of January.

I went friday of the first week in January was told the ring was not ready that the setting had not come in yet. He said too try back next week.

I went back the following week to find that the ring is still not ready that he ordered the wrong stones. (there was a few diamond chips in the new setting that was not in the first one) I was told again to try back next week.

The following week I went in the beginning of the week the ring was finally ready (the stones were not in the setting the way I asked them to be in addition the ring is visibly missing a stone. He apologized and told me he would correct the problem and I could pick it up on Friday.I stopped by on friday he said the ring was not quite ready to come back the next day(saturday)
I made a phone call Saturday am to let him know I was sending someone in to pick up the ring.

After I look at the ring I notice the stones are still not in the setting the way I asked them to be in addition to that one of the stones had obviously switched (the first setting had two November stones but in differnt color variations)this rings november stones were identical in color and right next to each other, one of the stones appears cracked and the diamonds are visibly different in appearance (2 of the have a blue tint)

I then gave a call to the store and let him know the concerns I still had with the ring. He said he reordered a stone because one had broken and that he did not inspect the ring to bring it back in on monday. Over the weekend I did not wear the ring but did on monday put it on my finger until I dropped it off on my lunch hour during this 3 hour time of wearing the ring another stone fell out of the setting.

I at this time thought I should have the ring appraised before taking it back to the jewelery store I had 2 jewelers inspect the ring and both said the same thing that the stones were not genuine but synthetic in addition to that most of the stones were broken and cracked I also had my engagement ring appraised since it was also purchased at the jewlery connection my engagement ring that was supposed to be 3/4 carat was 1/2 a carat it was also supposed to be flawless with hte best clairty you could get this was also found to be incoorect it had many flaws as well as a crack upo the back of the diamond.

This time me and my fiance went to the jewelery shop to discuss what we had found out about the rings and discuss what he would do to fix the problem we now had he insisted us giving him one more chance to fix the mothers ring and if we brought in the receipt for the engagement ring he would also fix that problem by purchasing the correct size and clarity and agreed I could have another jeweler replace the stone in my engagement ring.

As for the mothers ring he agreed to completely redo the ring with genuine stones and set in the correctly and said we could then take the ring to any jeweler for an appraisal and if they disputed the stones being genuine he would gladly refund all of the money I have paid

We gave him another chance to make the ring right. after not hearing from him for nearly 2 weeks I called to follow up on the mothers ring and see when it would be ready he said I could pick it up on February 10rd.

Stopped in on the 10th the ring is still not ready but will be ready on monday stopped in on monday the ring is still not quite ready stop back on wednesday I did not get a chance to go back to the store until friday the 17th to find the ring is still not ready ( he said his jeweler has been off sick this week and would come in on saturday to finish the ring) I asked him are you sure it will be ready he said yes.

I stop in on monday (customers are in the store) he pulls me to the side and says it is not quite finished yet but will be finished that day quaranteed. I asked him if I could look at the ring to see how it is coming along he then told me the ring is not in the store he let his jewler take it home to fix it and he was going to deliver this ring no later than 4:00. I said so when today should I come back he said 4:30. I aksed him if he was sure it would be there I then ask him what time he is open until he said 5:00.

I returned to the store early at 4:15 to find the store closed for the day.

I return to the store today (feb 21rst) the ring is still not finished nor is it in the store. He guarantees it will be here today no later than 4:30. I asked him to please just return my money I would make the purchase somewhere else he insisted to just him until the end of the day to finish the ring I asked him to put in writing that if I do not have the ring by 5:00 that he would refund the money I paid for the ring in which he did provide that in writing.

I went back to the store at 4:52 and was told he still had 8 minutes to produce the ring I asked him where the ring was he said his jeweler ws in the back finishing it up. I asked him if I could please take a look at the ring (2 stones are not in the ring all the other (fake) stones are still in the ring when I metioned to him this is unacceptable and I would like my money back it is now after 5:00 that there are still fake stones in the ring he then showed me the stones they were trying to get in the ring still in the package dated (silly him) the package is dated for when the were recieved in the store (feb 20th yesterday indicating he has done some lying the entire time)

I then told him this was not acceptable for me I had no more time he has had the ring a few days short of 2 months and it is now well past 5:00 and I would like him to refund my money he was hesitant and I reminded him the agreement he made to me earlier in writing to please honor or I would need to conatct an attorney and handle this situation in court. He then wrote me a check for the entire amount I paid for the ring.

I not trusting him went to the bank that he uses for this account and attempted to cash the check before he put a stop payment on it (nothing surprises me att this point) I get to the bank only to hear the teller tell me I am sorry I cannot cash this check the account you are trying to draw the money from does not have enough money to cover the check that was wrote.

I immediatley went back to the store. Again he was closed I will update the rest of this story in the mean time i would strongly recommend no one purchase from here you may not get what you prurchased at all and if you do it may not be the real thing.

I at this time return to the store again tomarrow to request cash in exchange for the check he wrote in addition to that I will need to find an attorney to help with the unresolved issues with the engagement ring and now the mothers ring
