Michelle Stella from the knot called me around 6 months ago and convinced me to advertise on theknot.com and weddingpages.com for my new photography business in Denver. I thought maybe it would be a good a idea but was not made aware that they would claim I was in a 6 month contract with them without ever telling me of this or me signing anything. I was talked in to avertising because she did not tell me the facts of the company and because I naively thought they would help my business.

Further, they do not push small business's they put them on the back burner because they only really push companies like Bella and A Candid Image which are companies that are huge and work throughout the US. I never for $1200 received a single client from this method. They do not tell you when you sign up people can not just browse your photography profile but must sign-in in order to get to the 6th page of photographers to even see your profile. They do tell you that 46,000 brides will come in contact with your business which is false. Michelle Stella said anything to get me to sign up.

Now after 4 months I gave a 30day notice paid my last month and thought I would be done once and for all with this rip-off companies methods and tactics. But now I have Trista Woods from the Omaha office refusing to take my profile down claiming I have to stay advertising on the knot for another month because of a 6 month contract which I have never signed anything with this company or was even made aware of a 6 month contract when I signed up at the beginning of my nightmare with this organization.

Futher, Trista Woods continues to call me often claiming I owe around $150 for this last month of advertising even though I asked her to take me down and gave them 30-day to take my profile down which I could have just quit at month four but rather gave them enough time to take my profile down.

I am seeking to inform people small wedding vendors in particular of The Knot (www.theknot.com) and Wedding Pages and Party Spot improper business ethics and attack upon new small business owners and wedding vendors. They really only push big companies and take money from small companies. I learned this by signing up as a bride on theknot.com that they only really advertise Bella and A Candid Image which are big companies is the wedding industry. I am trying to get them to no longer call or email me claiming I owe the $150 when I spent $1200 and got nothing from this company. I believe they go by three name in order to add confusion about which one of their companies is a rip-off but the answer is the all are.
