I was contacted by The Lease Brokers the beginning of November 2011- They saw my car listed on Craigslist for sale. I had in the ad that I couldn't afford payments on my 15k mile 09 Chevy Traverse. They said they take over payments. I did research on BBB and searched the internet and found nothing unusual. The company sounded Legit. I also got a sample agreement and it looked ok too.

After talking with an employee and emailing for a couple weeks. I agreed to go forward. I had to bring my loan down by $5,500 for them to assume payments. I paid that amount down.

William "Bill" Buckley came to my place of business and picked up my 09 Chevy November 15, 2011. I was told that he would send me the 'contract' within a few days and that he'd get insurance on it asap and would use his dealer plates. They would find someone to lease it or buy it.

I had much trouble after that in contacting their business. It took days for a return call and I was nervous not having a contract.I was told around 11/22 that they had insurance and I could drop mine. I did. I still had no contract.

I finally got a contract the end of December dated 12/17- even though they took possession 11/15.a BIG red flag was that it was not signedby Mr. Buckley. I was not happy- but didsign it and mailed it back. I tried to contact Mr. Buckley many times to get 'my' copy with their signature. My last contact with him was via email on 1/9/11 He said he needed to get my the signed copy. I asked him to mail it. I wish I had gone and gotten it after the fact.

During December-I was able to refinance and lower the payments by $250/month to help them out.Making the new payment $523. The first payment due 1/22/11.

On 1/19/11- I received a notice from the bank saying they needed proof of insurance. Another RED flag! I contacted Bill but never heard back.

On 1/25- I saw that my first payment was not paid at the bank. Another RED flag. I immediatly called my insurance and added insurance to the vehicle.

On 1/26- I tried email and voicemail and physically went to their address on Broadway It was basically an empty show-room with just a desk and one car. It was locked.

The phone number goes to a recording saying mailbox is full. His cell phone says 'out of area'/not available.I have contacted the building owner to alert them as well. I have filed a BBB report/complaint. I am contacting their former address property owners at 511 Crossing Drive, Lafayette.

HELP! I have no car. They have been driving it for free since 11/15/2010. They had no insurance. I have no idea where it is- what condition it's in. I tried to file a police report, they said since I gave him the keys it's not technically stolen at this point. I am going to file another report in my residence county.

Also- my insurance company says it's not covered for stolen since I wasn't in possession of the car when I re-instated the insurance.

HELP Tom! Help.

What a MESS!! Car found in AR.. The fight is just starting

So I was finally contacted by Colo Rev.  A bank in AR was trying to get title to car.  The thing is they won't give us their contact info and won't tell my bank info.  It's been almost 7 months.  I have no idea what is going to happen.  Mr. Buckley has a big case building against him.  But that doesn't help any of us at this point (if ever).  I can only pray that these peoples bank contacts me soon. As I'm still making payments!   And even when that happens it's a mess.   sighhh  Any news on you others?

The Lease Brokers CASE #13

Not sure if either of you have contacted the Englewood Police Department yet but they have a pretty large case file on William Buckley and "The Lease Brokers."

I found out close to a month ago that i had been had by this piece of low life scum and that i'm case number 13 with the same situation as you guys. We absolutely get together and maybe piece together some information that we all have.

I'm also in contact with an investigator with the Department of Revenue who is researching the where abouts of my vehicle. William Buckley made 2 payments on my 07 Jeep Wrangler 4 Door Unlimited before he sent Chrysler Financial a payoff check of $20,000 which was then later returned!

I would love to hear from you both as it is comforting to read that i'm not the only person suckered in to this.

The only difference between the story listed here, and my experience is that William Buckley did make one car payment after taking possession of the car.

I have never received the promised contract paperwork (after several frantic emails), notice of insurance, or any further car payments and I am certain that I am in the same boat you are.

What can we do? Please contact me. I think there must be force in numbers!

I can't believe this! I am so glad I found another victim. My car is gone, no contract, no payments made. Please contact me, we should try to figure this out together.
