Hello..and if you've been a part of either of these companies and are no longer with them, then you already know how I feel. ALL and I mean ALL reports on these companies are true. It would just be redundant of me to rewrite anything written above.

I originally started in Chicago with The Marketing Firm owned by Sean Vernon, but controlled by Cydcor in Chicago in August 2006 and left a $70,000 plus bonus and benefits job in hopes of opening my own business, my name of my company was Pioneer Marketing!! I even had business cards!

I was mislead from the get go regarding health insurance, by Sean Vernon, which I would've never started without it. This was just a ploy and scheme to get a "sharp person" in the door.

Anyway, long story short, I was a top leader and producer, one of the best. By working with this company I was not prepared to never see my doctor, get my car fixed, get sick, see my family or friends and I needed to live, eat and sleep this company. I had the opportunity to move to Tampa, did that, same thing in Tampa, and I left the company, which then was Cavalier Marketing Group, under Ryan May.

I went so in debt, imagine $70,000 down to $500/wk if that!! Although Ryan was a part of this and I do feel extremely let down, I don't blame him entirely, he was by far, 100% brainwashed, and I do believe that now. It's such a shame to see college educated, intelligent people being promised these opportunites and end up being in the negative. I never ever thought I would say this, because we were trained not to, this is by far a scam, pyramid scheme, whatever you want to call it.

I want to apolgize to anyone and everyone I have hurt or affected, that was either on my team or I helped. Good luck to you all!!! Oh and by the way I'm still in Florida. I have a wonderful job and have a great boyfriend going on 6months..I do miss my my family and friends in Chicago..I visit them a lot, but the fact of the matter is I could be doing what I'm doing here in Tampa in Chicago! They really screwed me!

A varied perspective on the cydcor "family" of ICL

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

Thu, December 13, 2007

I just wanted to take a brief moment to chime in on the whole topic of cydcor, which it seems that this ripoffreport website thrives on.
I am a previous employee of several cydcor entities. I was originally hired in Baltimore, MD in december 2004. In feb, 05 I moved with Sean Vernon to Chicago, IL and expanded the business, watched a few managers promoted, and followed Matt Kresge to the North suburbs to open another office.
Maybe I have thicker skin than most people, maybe my ambitions are different than that of other people, but I find that my time with the companies that are brokered by cydcor to be incredibly more positive than negative.

A little education to those of you who want to rant and rave after having done no more than a 2nd round interview or maybe a few days of training:
Cydcor, Granton, DS-MAXX, etc DOES NOT own these companies. They are merely a broker, or more commonly referred to as middle man, to these fortune 500 companies.
Honestly, do you think that one guy and his office of 25 sales reps could even speak to someone at AT&T or Staples about marketing for them? Hell No!
These brokers are similar in analogy to FORD for example. You will never buy a car directly from Ford. You will go to John's Ford Dealership and buy the car from John. This is basically what you are doing when you work for/interview with one of these Independently owned companies. Like in the real world, some of these companies operate with less integrity than others. The beautiful thing about this type of business is that it consists entirely of people. The bad part of the company is that is consists entirely of people.
There are tons of offices that i NEVER have seen listed on the rip off report, men and women who are promoting 5-15 offices every year.

Next, and probably my greatest point in even spending a half hour to respond here, the year and few months that I spent working with this type of business has shaped me to be an individual that is basically a monster in the "real world." The expectations of these companies are incredible. The bar is EVER RAISING, and after a year and a half of 14+ hour days with the whip at my back, I can more or less run circles around anyone in the 'real world.' Yes, I am an ex-employee of "the marketing firm" and Sarah and I were quite good friends, I would like to think. I actually came down to tampa to visit Ryan and his crew AFTER I left the business. Anyway, I am currently working a FULL TIME JOB 40+ hours a week, I am in LAW SCHOOL, also FULL TIME, I have a family now, a wife and a child.
My experience "in the field" and "in the office" and all of that involved with this ICL has conditioned me to maintain 3 HUGE aspects of my life with a higher level of quality than most of the poor saps that come onto this website and cry about can not perform with one aspect of their lives.

Truths to these companies:
1) they are 100% commission.
2) they work long hours
3) they prey on recent college grads with no experience

Rebuttals to these truths
1) If you ever hope to get out of the rat race of working for someone else, you too will be working at 100% commission.
2) Anything worth being done is worth being done right. If you can't balance a full plate with your real life then you are, quiet frankly, pathetic.
3) Of course they do. And the best part of it is that MOST of these recent college grads are a)idiots (i know, i interviewed a TON of them) b) worthless in the workforce(and their weakness to this system will prove them to continue being worthless) and c) otherwise un-hire able.
Face it, if most people were as glorious and as educated as they claim to be on RIp Off Report, you wouldnt be "bottom feeding" by even attending a 2nd round interview.

Note-this is by NO MEANS an attack on Sarah. I love sarah, worked with her for several months and hope to hell she is doing well for herself.
I also hope that Ryan, Chris, Sean, Matt, Rory etc. and all the rest are doing well for themselves.

This is a tough world, and I think a lot of the weak MotherF*ers that want to cry to their mommies and then to ripoff report would do good hanging in with one of these companies for at least 3 months.

It will not kill you, it will certainly make you stronger.
