On November 30, 2007, I provided written notice to the property manager that I intended to move out in 30 days, and I was out of my apartment at the end of December.
Pursuant to state law, a landlord has 30 days to refund a tenant's security deposit or provide a statement of damages which will be repaired out of the deposit. To this date, 3/21/2008, I have recieved neither.
I have called the on-site office at 775-322-9005, and spoke to both Alex the receptionist and Cindy Humphries, the manager, several times about this issue. Ms. Humphries has said she is waiting to talk to her corporate office on the issue, and that she will call me back. Then a week or more will go by with no word from her.

On March 17 2008, I called again, but Cindy was not in. Today, March 21 2008, I called again at 12:45 pm, but the manager was on the other line, so I left my phone number and a message that it has been nearly 2 months that my deposit has been due to me and not returned. It is now 3pm, with no return call. Either she is talking to her long lost aunt Marge or I am being avoided...
Tonight, I will write a certified letter to send to this office demanding my deposit be returned, and if no results are produced, I intend to pursue this in Nevada small claims court. I will keep everyone posted.

May I warn you not to rent from this complex. In addition to this headache, every repair I had requested took at least 2 weeks to complete, and my apartments bath faucet chronically leaked HOT water, which made for a smelly, mildewy bathroom. They just could not fix it every time maintainance came up. You will be well advised to stay far away from this complex.

Dont Bother Calling Them Anymore , You Are Entitled To Triple The Deposit !!!

I think in most states , if the landlord doesnt return your deposit / send you a list of damages within 30 days of you vacating , you are entitled to receive triple the amount of the deposit .

Dont bother calling them , if they pay you the deposit , you lose out on their ignorance .

File a small claims suit immediately!!!
