Complaint Review: The Pennysaver

CONSUMERS BEWARE...If you receive the Pennysaver you may have noticed all the 'business' ads for home improvements/repairs. They are placed by individuals (some legitamate, most probably not) for a small nominal fee (usually $13.00 per area).

To place a business ad they require NO proof of business, NO business tax id, NO id what-so-ever! ...Just their money!

I answered an ad that read: J.S. Construction-All types of concrete construction. Driveways, sidewalks, patios, porch steps, retaining walls. Insured. NO JOB TOO SMALL! (412) 537-1359

I was SCAMMED out of $1,250.00 WHY? Because the guy was a scam artist who uses the Pennysaver to lure his prey. And you know what... The Pennysaver takes NO RESPONSIBILITY (even though it was through their publication that this con artist was introduced into my home).

Not only do they take NO RESPONSIBILITY...they will NOT prevent that crook from running additional ads that will no doubt lead to other home owners subjected to their scam.

They just don't care about their readers!
