Complaint Review: The Perfect Weave Salon (Owners Tanya Joseph & Rodlyn Joseph)

Months later, I'm still disappointed with the experience I had with owner Tanya Joseph at the so-called "Perfect Weave" in Lawrenceville, GA.  She is the most unprofessional, thugged out, hoodrat foreigner I have ever met.  The shop is a scam operation and should be investigated thoroughly.  Immigration should also give them a visit to confirm that they are not using illegals.

Futhermore, all you have to do is call to find out how unprofessional these hoodrats are.  If you actually get an adult on the phone, they will say you have an appointment when in fact it means nothing.  I scheduled an appointment, arrived on time and waited hours for the "stylist" to finish her "Regulars" before she squeezed me in. While waiting, I observed the tacky work these lazy rats did on other customers.

The salon is small, tight, packed with people on top of each other and stink.  They keep customers waiting so long, you end up playing musical chairs while you wait.  When they see you grow tired of waiting, they'll ask any available rat to wash your hair so you don't leave.  Then they stick you under the dryer for ANOTHER hour.

The first "stylist" I tried had a very bad attitude and seemed sickly.  The second "stylist" complained that her previous customer was unhappy with her work, Uh Oh!  Then she kept asking me over and over how SHE should style MY hair ???  When she was done, I had a poofy hairstyle although I asked for a straight flat style.  She blamed it on the other person that blow dried my hair - the owner.  She told the owner I was not happy with the style.  Without any discussion, the owner rat Tanya Joseph immediately started arguing with ME!  She was defensive and argumentative.  She could not have cared less actually.  After she ran my credit card and collected payment, she said "we don't need your money. don't come back with no complaints".  I was shocked because she pretends to be nice although she asked my name 4 or 5 times in one visit.  I thought she would reschedule for a restyle, instead she was combative and acting like she wanted to fight because I said I didn't like the style.  Seriously?  Don't make the mistake of using this place.

I would NEVER return to this shop and I would definitely urge anyone considering it, to look elsewhere unless you are comfortable amongst lazy unprofessional hood rats who have a habit of patching over poor quality work, and taking no responsibility once asked to fix it. 

If you're looking at price, they are about the same as any other "quick weave" shop and the headache here is so not worth it.  You're going to deal with a lot of bad attitude and quality issues.  You can do better elsewhere.  Believe me and you most certainly don't want to have any interaction with Tanya Roberts.  She sure is ugly too!  Whew!
