In September and October of 2007, my company ordered 2 baby grand pianos from these folks with the expectation of delivery sometime shortly after the first of the year, 2008. We put 50% down on these pianos amounting to $4,250 each.

Early in 2008 ASAPH said that they were having trouble with an offshore supplier for all of the piano products that they were meant to be delivering. Numerous times I requested that we be notified of the status of these pianos but never received phone calls or emails without constantly prompting them to respond. Over the many months, we were told that the pianos were arriving in port any day. Finally, a senior member of our staff told ASAPH that they would need to refund our deposit and we would go elsewhere for the pianos. The party that he spoke with admitted that the company was going under and that they would be lucky to sell the building that they were in to break even with the debt.

A fellow by the name of Gregg contacted me to suggest that if we were willing to hang in there with them, they would have the two pianos to us for sure within 6 more weeks. I saw no reason not to try this strategy since we were already in to this company for twice the $4,250 deposits that we weren't likely to see again. All that being said, I agreed to let them try to meet this delivery schedule. NOW, I can't even make contact with Gregg, by phone or by email. Everything seems to be shut down. Some fine way to do business, eh?

I'm with Charlotte of Santa Fe, Mew Mexico, "stay as far away from these people as possible"! I'm also filing a complaint with the North Carolina Attorney General Office and I would recommend that EVERYONE out there that is having problems do the same. Maybe we'll get some satisfaction by keeping these folks away from other unsuspecting clients.
