i moved into the the pines of wesbury apts in dec 2001 at that time they were offering free basic telephone service with a one time deposit of 100.00 you never recieved a bill resently they sent out notice that they no longer would offer that service to the tenets and that the ones who owe a pastdue bal their phones would be the first to be turned off and not to come try and pay those bal to keep the phone services cause the phone will still be turned off.some tenets still went in to pay . and their phones was stilll disconnected and when asked them what happens to the deposit we put down they have no anwere. thats just like taken our money. we would like to know if this is legal. even if they would post the deposit to our past due bal. is ok but no they are not doing that. what happends to our money we put down.

STATEMENTS WAS MADE FROM ACCOUNTING DEPT IN APT THAT THIS WAS A ONETIIME ACTIVATION FEE NOT DEPOSIT, AND THE MONEY WILL NOT BE RETURNED. BUT TENETS DO HAVE COPY OF PAPER WORK STATING THIS WAS A DEPOSIT. BUT WE STILL FEEL IT WAS NOT OUR DOING TO DISCONTINUE THE SERVICES THE APTS DID, AND WE SHOULD GET OUR MONEY BACK OR PLACE THE 100.00 TO PAST DUE BAL.
