This woman, Souraya Pinkston, advertised her school in the local Fit'n'Fun Life. It was September. For the school The Right Touch, Phlebotomy Training & Support. She trained us on weekends and we learned phlebotomy, including drawing blood on each other. (Turns out she doesn't have a license or a bond. That's negligence.)

We went through training. Several classes. I have at least 12 people I am in contact with. We graduated, and were promised she'd contact us after the holidays. I graduated on 12-5. We were not contacted for anything but excuses, and we were never given anything else, not even a certificate. I have repeatedly asked about the externship we need to complete to get a job but all she does is put us all off. She moved from her office on McLeod, off Sunset. So we have no idea were she is. I have her on Facebook and apparently she is in Cleveland, OH, and is trying to establish the same scam there. In fact, she brags about it, as follows:

Just trying to make it happen. Business is going good! Best decision I ever made. Now I don't have to worry about making other people's pockets fatter, only mine!

In Cleveland, trying to make it happen. Man it's cold!

So we students are out of about a 1000 each plus time and also were drawn by each other resluting in severe bruising and this was all for NOTHING. We want for her to lose her ability to practice. She is a RPT and CPT. Her licenses should be revoved for fraud and malpractice. We have gotten nothing but the runaround and I can forward the emails.

I am the author of the original post and want to further clarify that I had some misunderstandings of email/Facebook communications and took them out of context. The Owner of the school was actually visiting family over the holidays and since she was waiting for the new school, which is taking over for our final testing, needed to get clearance to do that. I wrongly assumed it was us being blown off/ripped off.
Things took longer than expected and now everything is moving forwards again. I can't take down this report, but I do apologize to Souraya Pinkston for putting the report up. The school is new and ran into several problems,  and there were some delays, but most of the issues have been resolved. Souraya is a good instructor that definitely knows her stuff. It's been frustrating for everyone, but it's time to put the past issues behind. I'm sure everyone involved has learned from this experience, and will be better for it. I feel confident about by ability to be a phlebotomist, and passing the state tests are still up to the students.

The owner of the old school, Souraya Pinkston has made good. She cannot finish our education, but she has arranged for another school to take over our testing and externship. She has gotten us together for practices and will help us with the placement. And has spoken to several companies about the situation.
