Complaint Review: The Rosel Company - Other Aliases

I rented George F. Rosel's apt. for over 18 months, not learning till the end I was exposed to lethal sewer gas from two open mains in the apt. One was the shower, which had no trap, just a straight pipe to the sewer. The other was a laundry/sink drain, open, in the floor of a closet with a 2" gap at the door bottom. I was afraid to light a match one morning. Called the local gas co., they checked, said it was sewer gas.

I have been gettin ill for some months now. Thought it might be liver related. Not sure. But, still sick. Headaches, nausea, can't eat or drink much. Don't drink alcohol at all anymore, so that's not it. Need to know if there's a way to make the landlord responsible for his half-baked repairman's work. Had his father-in-law do the shower remodeling, with a trap put in it this time. But, the plumber he had to hire to help the old man told me there was no p-trap in the line, that's why I had the sewer gas. Nasty stuff. Thanks.
