Complaint Review: The Secret Society - Jeff Hanson Kirsten Hart

I received a mailing from "The Secret Society" asking me to return a mailing to receive a free 56-page booklet that would show me how to find love, happiness, wealth, respect, power, and leisure - all by using the hypnotic powers of my mind! Woohoo! Ok, the booklet was free and besides it sounded amusing, so why not?

The booklet is an infomercial in 5 parts, plugging a 1200-page book that costs a mere $139.95, and this book will show me how to find love, happiness, wealth, respect, power, and leisure - all by using the hypnotic powers of my mind!

So the schtick is a bit repetitive, but I see here that the company name is not. In case "The Secret Society" didn't draw you in, you could also be ripped off by "IMA Nouveau Tech" or "The Athenian Secret Society."

I see two variants posted as to what happens next. Either you order the book and the company doesn't return your money as promised, or you *don't* order the book, and you receive a bill anyway.

Save your money, hold onto the materials so you can be prepared to call the police, and whatever you do, resist the urge to beat up whichever 'friend' you think gave out your personal contact information.
