The Spa King Chris Weiss Personally Used Jacuzzi Scam Artist Internet, Florida
My wife and I are were looking for a jacuzzi for nearly 3 years..she found the guy chris weiss and he made my wife believe he was the greatest. He initially told me he had 9 month old 6-7 thermospa he was selling with radio and salt water treatment. I told him I do not want to get ripped off he said you will love it and I didnt have to sign or pay until we were happy.
The spa came it was only a 5 seater, almost 3 years old, no factory radio, he cut in and installed a garbage radio, put in a salt treatment filter which looked horrible and had a leak when we started to fill the jacuzzi, I told him this was not the one I wanted it was too small too old and he has someone come and put magic putty the same day to seal the leak, however it never worked and we never wanted it and the leak cause the board not to work. He then told me I can have it fixed for 2,000.00, what???
I never authorized a charge, let alone signed a charge slip....never got anything in writing or signed anything...and he charged 5,0000.00 hold just to guarantee to hold it if i like it...now after he wont come get the non working never working jacuzzi, he has threatened us and told us that merchant services will not reverse our credit card. we called bank of america and put it in dispute after several several calls to chris weiss to pick up his defective jacuzzi, it went from promising the world to threatening us.
This guy is a complete scam....we never had a working jacuzzi, never had anything in writing..then he wanted to charge me 2,000 to fix his jacuzzi, and his final words to me were your a punk i got ya!!!!! This guy needs to be dealt with...I filed with cooper city police, disputed with bank of america, and will begin to post this online all over the place until he refunds my credit card and picks up his jacuzzi.

We apologize for the initial posting about Spa King and Chris Weiss. In retrospect, we do not believe that Spa King or Chris Weiss did anything wrong. The matter has been resolved amicably.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This is becoming a nightmare....all I can say is that I never got the spa he promised, I called and complained that there was a leak and i didnt like what he sent he had someone come over and put magic putty in the spa, and additional he promised one with a radio, He cut out 2 speakers and installed garbage....there was leak from the salt water filtration he installed..we took pictures of this and had a witness there at all times...and this is not going at all what he has stated. First of all he has charged 5k to my credit card which i did not sign nor authorized, he still has the money, he then tried to blamed the electrician who's only fault was no gfi which would have not burnt out the board it may have electricuted me but it would not burn out the panel that was done with there leak..i have pictures to back it up...and yes he did serve us to court why? he still has the money? and i have hired an attorney to resolve this for weeks now offering the same thing he offered at the beginning to resolve which has never materialized...he has threatened me and my wife and all of know if we paid almost 6000 dollars, never had a working spa and did not get what was promised....we will vigorousloy defend this and countersue...this guy is full of hot air all promises no action..from this 5 month old company...i will forward pictures for your review. we have honestly tried to resolve this and he has not either has his attorney..this is unfair.

Its true that Scott and Jodi Somerman ordered one used Thermospa hot tub from us. They looked for three years according to their statement and knew just what they wanted. This spa had four pumps over 70 jets and they wanted an aftermarket radio installed with a salt system. This Thermospa sold new for over $12,000. they paid just $,4000.
They picked the spa online via three pictures and confirmed via email thats the one, even sent the picture of the spa back confirming it. The spa was delivered to their home where they inspected the unit before it was moved to the backyard.
They bragged to the driver about what a great deal they got. They had two to three hours to inspect the unit before their electrician connected it to the power and never once complained about anything. ( If this was the wrong spa why connect it to your power) .
Later that day the spa did leak from the silcone seal on the salt system. They called within two hours a serviceman was there and repaired the seal under warranty. Next morning the serviceman was back at their house to explain how to use spa properly. Serviceman noted that the electrical was connected with an improper ground and no GFI cicruit (potential life threating problems) and advised clients of same. Serviceman waited for their Unlicensed electrician to arrive to repair defects in wiring (at clients request :tipped serviceman $100 for this).
Clients Unlicensed electrician hurriedly tried to remedy his mistakes and rewired the spa. Once the Unlicensed electrician turned on the power the spa controls where damaged. Serviceman advised client of this, client advised us to order new parts and repair spa. Client told serviceman that he would stop payment on eletricians check.
Cost to repair spa $1,329.00 just for parts. Next day client advises us the electrician cashed one of his checks and said to go after the electrician for the damage to the spa.
We declined! We didn't hire the Unlicensed electrician and the spa worked fine both times we were there, until being rewired by clients electrician. Client threatened us and demanded we remove the spa and said he would dispute his credit card.
Our attempts to reslove this were as follows. Offered Somermans the parts at our cost and no labor to install (cost $1329.00 just parts). His response was so foul I couldn't print it.
Next we offered to go to mediation. Their response was more foul threats!
Offered to exchange spa for another one, more foul threats!
Very important! The electrician they used was not licensed, no permits were pulled and no inspections were performed by the Cooper City building dept. as required.
.
Jodi and Scott saved a few dollars by using an unlicensed person to wire the spa which if not for our serviceman finding this, it could have been deadly considering a faulty ground and no GFI was installed. This person that they hired damaged the spa controls and they tried to make us take back a damaged spa. We declined. Scott repeatedly said he tried to reach the electrician but he got no response. (No Kidding!)
Ask yourself this: if the spa was the wrong one why connect it! After all you looked for three years!
If you were right and out $4,000.00 why not agree to mediation its quick!
There is a least two sides to every issue. We run a great company and will go the distance to make sure everything is right . All our spas come with 120 day warranty (not when connected improperly by others as stated in the warranty form signed by Jodi Somerman) But after the facts were misrepresented and after being constantly threatened with being reported to Ripoff, BBB and Bank Of America we had no choice but to file suit aganist the Somermans.
Case is in Broward County Court and they haved been served!
