Complaint Review: The Stone Law Firm

In September of 2015 I performed over 25 hours of research and writing for attorney Elliott H. Stone when he was too busy to handle the matters on his own. Despite repeated requests to pay my invoices, Mr. Stone has not paid a single penny on them as of the date I submitted this report. Nor did he even offer to make reasonable installment payments as of the date this report was submitted. I am planning to sue Mr. Stone in small claims court when I return to California, but be careful if you are thinking about working for him. It may be best to require an upfront retainer for any work he requests. This report is intended to protect other independent contractors who may be contacted by attorney Elliott H. Stone for any type of work.
