The Tool Shack of Gulf Breeze Fl, The Tool Shack Pathetic service and a rip off Gulf Breeze Florida
Took my riding mower in for service and was quoted $150 to $200 and was also charged a $70 deposit. After two weeks I called to check status and they said they were waiting on me to authorize a $260 increase. I said O.K. and asked why no one called me. No reason given.
After two more weeks I called again. They said the parts were not in but they would call when the mower was ready. After 2 months they called to say the quote was in error and it would be more like $350. I said O.K. 30 minutes later they called to say it would be $550 or more. I said forget it I'll come get the mower.
When I picked it up they said the $70 deposit was for the estimate. I asked; which of the wildely wrong estimates would that be for and how does it take 2 months to decide where to start? I'll never be back to buy anything or have any service done there, and I recommend others stay away as well...this is a very poorly run business. Go somewhere else or do the work yourself.
In the end, I lost $70, two months, two trips to the shop, and got nothing but frustration and uncaring attitude from the staff in return. I would have been much better off if The Tool Shack was not around. Hopefully it won't be for much longer.
