The Villages at Deerwood appears to be a beautiful complex from the outside. However, that is far from the truth. I should have know when I was signing the lease and a prior tenant that was turning in their keys said "don't do it, you will be sorry".

That was the beginning of a long stream of problems.

The first issue began the day we moved in, normally when you move into an apartment all work is complete... correct? Well not in our case, the Master bedroom shower was completely gutted out. Management explained to us that it would be complete in 3 days, guess what a week later and approximately 3 phone calls later it was complete.

Problem number 2, a foul stench breweing in the second bathroom!

We called management and they stated it was the plumbing so they used a deep disinfectant on the toilet and shower. Of course the problem did not go away. Four calls later and 4 weeks later we finally resolved the problem, a plumber came and stated the foul smell was imbedded in the carpet, the previous tenants cat had sprayed in their. Well we finally got that one fixed in 4 weeks!

Problem number 3, maintenance comes knocking on the door and proceeds to tell us that when we change the locks a copy of the key should be given to management. Well, the problem is we NEVER changed the locks. So he began to tell us that they had lost the key. For safety reasons we wanted the locks change, considering MAINTENANCE lost the key who knows who would have access to the apartment now. When we put in our papework to have the locks changed, guess what they did.... they made and extra copy of the key and left it in the apartment, locks were never changed, and after placing 3 requests to change the locks the did not, they left us with the same locks and a extra key. Apparently they cannot follow instructions!

The list of problems goes on and on and on.

The last problem is my favorite, after receiving paperwork that my job was transfering me to California, I got penalized and have to pay well over 1200.00 to this management group that never rendered decent services to their tenants.

The best part is that if you have a problem and you need to escalate the issue to Conam Managemnet, Christy the secretary tries to fix all issues that she has no pwer fixing and the problems go unresolved. I left several messages for her to call me back in reference to the issues. She calls back when it is convenient for her. Approximately a month after moving I am still leaving messages for Christy and she still is not returning my call. Which I am not surprised about either. If it is condoned at one level in the company obviously all other levels of management will be the same. The fish only stinks from the head down. Meaning if management stinks all employees there under will stink too.

My best advice, do not rent from this comlex, if you have any questions in regards to anything I listed above please feel free to email me.
