Complaint Review: Theater Research

Was coming out of my dentist appointment and two young men, mid twenties, parked their car behind mine blocking my exit. One got out and started going on about how their company got extra speakers and they needed to sell them or else they got nothing.

I told him no, dont want em, cant afford em, go away til he finally went back to his truck, where the other guy got out. He played the friendly guy, asked how much i had, he will give it to me for whatever i could afford, and showed me the speakers in the store magazine.

finally, already exasperated and late for work, they talked me into $250 for the two Theater Research model TR-500 tower speakers. They also gave me the warrenty papers.

I got them home and went online to find out what i could about these speakers, only to find no info on them, except them selling on ebay with no buyers.

There were no instructions, just the warrenty slips, one in each box, and real looking boxes. I leave for College in two weeks, so the money was not easily parted with, and i regret ever meeting them.

If this happens to you, please just say no and leave. Don't fall for this hoax, you'll regret it later. I did.
