Complaint Review: Thecameraprofessionals.com

Deception, concealment and hidden agenda is what I got from: The Camera Prosessionals.com. When I tried to phone them, I was not greeted by the cute telephone operator in their ad, but by a cheap answering machine giving me department choices. When I made a choice the line went dead. On second call I was finally connected to a male voice that sounded much like the one on the cheap answering machine.

The salesperson asked what camera package I was interested in. I told hiim the Canon 40D Camera, body only for $429. (The average street price for this camera body only is $1299.) When I told them the item I wanted information on, the line went dead again.

Having failed to get my questions answered I then sent email to their sales department, telling them my phone experience and requesting a promp response as I wanted to make a purchasing decision that day. I have never heard from them since. In my email, I asked who was giving their 1 year warranty they stated; did camera body come with battery and charger like other dealers gave and what their return policy was, as well as their street address, as its not listed on their website.

I also noticed they well selling a camera battery for $179., that you could buy for under $40. from an Energizer battery dealer. I have had no response from the Camera Professionals, nor do I expect one, being I asked the questions that any honest dealer would gladly furnish to a prospective customer and they evidently did not want to answer them. My experience with them, makes me think they are only professionals at deception. I do not know where they got all those glowing testimonials of great service unless they wrote them theirselves or they suckered people into one of their SPECIAL DEALS.
