I placed an order at their website for an Olympus Stylus 720 SW camera @ $219.00 and processed it on my credit card.

On the final page of the order it states:

"Thank you for your order Your order has been received. Please call us to confirm the order, so we may ship it out as soon as possible. !"

I then called the number 800-957-6628 and connected to the Sales/Internet order department (#1), where a man came onto the phone and confirmed my order number, name, and number on back of credit card, then proceded to attempt to sell me additional items. First it was a memory card (I told him I already had a H-XD card for this camera). Then he said that I would need another battery as the one that comes with it would only last 1/2 hour (and I stated that would be just fine). Then he asked if I would like to purchased a NEW or accept the refurbished camera that I selected on the website. I then pointed out that the website did not STATE refurbished, used, renewed, or any other such language, and that the product that was sold IS NEW. Then he started going into do I know how much the MSRP is for this camera, and how could I expect to pay so little. I asked if the Attorney General is aware of these practices. And I asked where they are located and was told in the Virgin Islands (which I do not believe). He then stated that my order is cancelled and to not call there again.

I am hoping that this posting will further deter anyone else from falling victim to this fraudulent bait-and-switch practice, and God knows what else they are up to. I am concerned that these people now have my credit card number, and may decide to do something else with it.
