I recently joined thedownloadplace.com for 29.95(USD) for a full year membership. This site advertises that it offers legal downloads of movies, music and programs. The site also displays all these items in original boxed or case form. Once membership is paid (not on a securied site as they make out) you are given a link to download there downloader programe. Once this programe is run and a search begins all the advertised items on there homepage could not be found.
he programe did however find items which read :dvd rips, movie screener copies, programe rips, cracks, serials and porn content. All which I believe is illegal. When you join up they state that you(the customer) is in good hands.After finding this out and not downloading anything I sent them a email to cancel and please explain. All I get back is a automated responce saying that your email will be answered in 24hrs. I have sent 3 emails and still no one replies. I can't believe people are making money of P2P programs that are free.
I thought I would do the right thing by paying for my downloads but i got scamed. Please stay away from this site.

After posting the first report I had success with getting my full refund back from thedownloadplace.com. The process took about 3 weeks.
