TheHut.com Scam- DVDs won't play in America (United Kingdom) Internet
I searched online for the TV series called Quantum Leap. I found it at TheHut.com and read about it.
It states the DVD set was made by Universal Pictures Studio with Dolby Digital Sound. There is a line that says Region: 2. I had no idea at the time what that means, but now I do, I think.
I bought the set and it didn't work. When I contacted the company they said it won't work in America. No where on the site does it say that explicitly.
They will not refund me anything, they wll not let me write a review to warn others, and they haven't updated their item description to deomnstrate that fr others.
I feel scammed because I didn't know what the 2 meant for region and no one will help me now. I just want others to be well informed.

Thanks, I do have three players, very high end, all purchased within the past three years and they didn't read the discs. I do have a PS3 that didn't work either, but I will try to find out how to change the region thing and see if I can get it to work. Thanks somuch for your help, I just wish I wouldv'e known about all this region business before I made the purchase or even if their customer service would've suggested it when I contacted them with the problem. Thanks.

If you are playing on a Sony ps3 or PS4 (and most other game consols and some DVD players) you can easily change your Region. You could buy a Really cheap DVD player that doesn't check regions, most DVD players built in the last 5 years or so don't check region.
At the end of the day:The retailer is correct to not refund your purchase.
The region 2 description is both leagle and correct.
