TheLotter.com accepts lottery ticket purchases from lotteries and purchasers around the world. Based in London, UK, the company is registered in Beliz and banks in Cyprus. TheLotter states that they are a secure site, but no information about what encryption or certificates they use. TheLotter has a link to an online security company home page and no other information.

I signed up to buy a Powerball US ticket when the billion dollar draw took place in January 2015. Their site states that they will send you a receipt with every order. I never received a receipt, though they took money from my account on 7 occasions, though I only bought tickets on 2 days.

Not only did they take money out of my account without my knowledge or permission, they also took the earnings of the 4 wins from the account "to buy other tickets".  When you try to find out about how they determined what monies they withdraw from your bank account, they will give you no information. The site provides a  list of the dates of the draws, win or lose, and the amount won and paid into the account.

They say they do not take commissions from the tickets. That might be true but they add a small service charge to the ticket without notifying you, and charge a commission when you withdraw your money from the account.

Never try their subscription offer or you will be shocked at how much money they take from your account, and when. You can only get a refund for your first purchase. If you buy anything else from them, you are at their mercy.

THis site asks whether you use a credit card. I paid with my debit card straight from my bank account, so I have little protection. Buyer beware.
