Themal Gard Sold & Installed Replacement Windows That Have To Be Taped To Keep The Wind Out Philadelphia Nationwide
Over 10 years ago we had Thermal Gard install their tripple pane windows and a glass slider on the lake side of our home. The slider warped the 1st month and it took them about 2 months to fix it right - they will fix parts forever rather than replace a defective unit. Beware - It is still not airtight and the locking system is a pain on their sliders (we also have an Anderson Frenchwood slider on the same side of the house - it is airtight and easier to open, close and lock). The windows - what can I say? They came every year for about the 1st 3 years trying to fix them. The have leaked air around the sashes and through the locking system since new. The finally said that they changed the window design, but refused to replace our windows with the new windows. They replaced the window sashes, they put something in all the locking areas, they tried to tighten them up - they were here so many times that, to us, it seemed like they could have replaced these and saved themself some repair money. I have to tape around the windows and over the locks every winter. The wind coming off the lake moves the curtains if I don't. Beware of the product from Thermal Gard.
