The Johnson boys are at it again. As if netpages wasnt enough, or elocal, or search inititiaves, or pixelfish {insert company here} wasnt enough. The new scam is reselling a product at 3-6 times the markup to healthcare professionals who are too busy to do a little bit of research.

It begins with therapydirectusa.com and just to confirm before its changed:

Client initiatives? Interesting. Lets look deeper. So its a directory that you sign up for and you get the ability to provide online therapy to your clients. The online therapy service is provide through therapydirect? No that pushes you to another site, onlinetherapy9111. So whats the point of the directory? If you look at any publicly available metrics you can see that it has absolutely 0 users. Its getting such little traffic the only hits are probably from those duped into purchasing "their" product. More on that later

Interesting. If you do work in the psychology space you might know about betterhelp.com? This site looks STRIKINGLY similar to betterhelp.com. Do you think betterhelp.com is aware? I doubt it. Now here is where it gets interesting. You'll need to be smarter than your average bear and take note of your network. Try and register as a user or provider. Notice anything odd about portal.onlinetherapy911.com? It seems to be routing some place else entirely. Inspect your packets and you might see something like t=DecentJS,n=WeCounsel over and over again. Lets check out wecounsel.


Oh so this appplication isnt from therapydirectusa.com or onlinetherapy911.com its made by the good folks at wecounsel and they offer it for as low as 15.99? Where as the cheapest you can get it from the ripoff artist is 99.99? They tell you the value is in the directory and thats where your money is going but as it turns out wecounsel provides that too. And they they have a userbase because they arent a fly by night company.

If you happen to get a phone call from these guys ask them to show you their value versus going to the source. Have them prove it. If you're lucky you'll get to speak to Todd and boy oh boy are you in for a treat.

This is the classic  truism, if its too good to be true it probably is. These guys will call you with promises of being able to increase your client count through their directory they'll explain to you how this is the wave of the future but what they absolutely will not do is come through on any of their promises. If you want to do more research on your own try signing up as a user and contacting the therapist already on the directory and asking them how its worked out for them?

This is just another short term game from the brothers Johnson as documented on this site countless times.

I was a former ops manager for this company. The team in my opinion, were extremely ethical people. I loved working for this company. To see someone write such a nasty lie just because they got fired for not coming to work, not getting their work done, and acting like a complete jerk totally sucks. I personally helped to create this platform. It was an amazing idea. We used an exhisting technology and modified for our purposes. Everyone worked extremely hard to try and bring a new concept to the counseling space. 

 

I along with the rest of this team helped generate digital marketing, write articles, managed Google Adwords campaigns, local and organic SEO, and lead generation. We helped a lot of hospitals and counseling centers. Online Therapy Direct was our platform. We provided something that would allow psychologists, family counselors, life coaches, therapists, drug counselors, etc. the ability to privately counsel clients and patients via a HIPAA compliant video chat center other than Skype. Our clients loved out technology. They loved how they could bill through it, and recieve insurance info privatley. It was amazing. 

 

So, hey Ken. Why don't you go get a life and go get a job that won't fire you. P.S. stop hurting others over your mistakes.
