We purchased a Therma Tru Classic Craft American door with Savannah glass. The door was purchased through a remodeling contractor.  The contractor had showed us the catalog from Therma Tru.  The glass was depicted as slightly irredescent with with the green leaf and Yellow flowers.  We researched the internet and found pictures of the door in houses that were posted by therma tru. Based on the literature since it was a custom and no one carried the door we went ahead and purchased the door for $8,900.00.  As soon as the door was placed in the opening of the old door I notified the builder that happened to be on hand that day that there was something wrong with the door.  He agreed.  Took pictures and sent them to the distributor.  On the outside it is a constant dark blue, purple with a little orange mixed in.  Assuming that the door was defective we waited to hear from Therma Tru who sent out a rep to take a look at door.  She stated that nothing was wrong with the door it was doing what it was supposed to do.  That is what irredescent glass looks like. Our options were to keep the current door, purchase a new door and sidelight panels and send the current door back to the company to have them replace the door, and side lights at a cost of $4500.00 approx, or purchase a new door.  They refused to cancel the order of the first door .  Repeated calls to customer service has yielded nothing.  Except for them to tell us the door is not defective it is the way it is. We have refused to pay for the door as our builder has done also. In their brochure that depicts their glass it states that the pictures are taken from the exterior side of the door.  None of the pictures in the brochure depicting our glass shows that the dark colors that are on the front of the door 24/7. You can't even see the stained glass that is in the window.
