I ordered a bottle of tanning lotion and some protective eyewear from www.tansforless.com on June 10, 2008. Shortly after that I received an email confirmation telling me that my order should ship within 5-7 days.
The email was a little alarming because of the wording in that email. I have copied & pasted some of it below:
"We strive to ship our orders within 48 business hours; however, most orders ship within 5-7 business days whenever possible (sometimes longer in rare cases). This is not always possible due to occasional lotion backorders. In those cases, we ship items as soon as possible. We do not ship on weekends o Holidays."
I got another email immediately after that telling me that the road to their warehouse was flooded and that they would be closed for 2 days and would ship all orders as soon as possible.
Anyway, I then began playing the waiting game. I waited until July 3 before emailing to ask for an order status update since I had not heard from them since June 10.
They still haven't written back and today is July 14. I would say I have been more than patient and deserve my mony back. I will be looking for further action I can take against them. They can't get away with this. $49.70 is a lot of money to me. Please let me know if you know anything else I can do.
