Complaint Review: thevacationgetaway.com

I have a legally binding contract with vactaiongetaway.com and Abner Betech for a 4 month rental at Villas Marlin, Cancun Mexico. He has broken the contract on numerous occasions in less than 2 months, and I feel hopeless as I am in Mexico and he is in the US. 

He has:

1) Threatened me and my wife and forced us out of unit 705 to unit 707 (contract is for705)

2) Refused to pay his power bill -included in the contract and left me with a $7200 pesos bill

3) Refused to pay his internet bill- incluced in contract, which I refuse to pay.

4) Refused to pay cable tv bill-included in contract, which I refuse to pay.

5) Illegally entered our condo without reqesting or permission. I filed a police report with Cancun tourist police, and bought and changed the deadbolt for fear of him entering again.

6) Double booked 705 3 times, redirecting to 707. Double booked 707 twice and tripple booked one week, forcing clients to take a hotel room for the week.

He uses VRBO Listing #487356 to advertise 2 units at the Villas Marlin, 705, 707. Check it out vrbo.com/487356. He slanders paying customers for their honest reviews, and minipulates and posts 99 percent of the reviews on his website.

Abner is a non caring, multi cultural mix of a person who is dangerous, as he is a recovering drug addict and convicted felon.

My wife and I are a retired Canadian couple who have travelled extensively using VRBO for many rentals. Please beware as the VRBO policy will not allow the same comments or the poster to have the same rights as the person paying for the subscription.

Check out the links we have found on the con artist and unfeeling human. His dad is a big shot lawyer and has bailed him out on numberous accasions which has added to his self indulgence in terrorizing his paying clients.
