My 13 year old son purchased the brand new Silver Bomber Scooter on EBAY. It worked somewhat for the first week but the hand operated "gear" switch was always iffy. After that, it only worked in low gear. The wiring keeps coming disconnected and constantly needs to be resoldered. The Key switch broke and had to be replaced.

The rebuttal report in this section was issued by a guy who is selling a wiring "fix" for $24.00. This is simply a heavier gauge set of wires/connectors going to the rear battery and a circuit breaker instead of a fuse. This might fix the scooter if the problem is that the fuse keeps blowing. It did not fix my son's scooter - it still only works in low gear. When I took the scooter apart to install the wiring, I noticed that the battery was swollen up. So it is probably a problem with the battery.

The instructions that came with this "fix" were informative. Too bad I had to pay $24.00 to get them though - only to find out that the scooter was still broken. I asked the guy for more information before I ordered the fix - but he said to send the $24.00 and he would send all the information with the wiring kit.

There is some useful information at www.theoutdoortoystore.com/silverbomberwiring.htm

I would avoid this scooter at all cost. The company is unreachable and since it was purchased on EBAY, there is really no recourse.

I found a guy in Indianapolis that would fix my bomber. He also sells fix it kits, batteries and belts for them. His email is mholder@iquest.net
