thomas Motors of Illinois give me the run around when trying to get my $650.00 gap ins coverage refunded after car was refinanced. It's been almost two months. Joliet Illinois
vehicle was bought in June, a 2008 Pontiac. included in the cost was a thing called gap insurance. In July the vehicle was refinanced through State Farm Bank and they don't charge for this coverage. We have been trying to get the money refunded to us from Thomas Motors(Nissan). We filled out the paper work and were told we would get the refund from the bank that first financed this loan. I have talked to that bank and they say the car dealer is responsible for this. They tried to help me and got no response from Thomas Motors to their faxes etc.
Since I co-signed this loan for my Grandson he has lost his job and really needs this money so he won't lose his car and prevent him from looking for another job. I'm retired and can't make these payments. I feel the run around they keep giving me is rediculous and not good for a car company.
Any help we can get would be appreciated.
