Thomson, RCA Got a TV for Husband for Fathers Day it didn't last until Labor Day ripoff Indianapolis Indiana
I will make this short and sweet. I have already done all the ranting and raving and nothing works. RCA (thomson's) doesnt care about customers or the fine name RCA used to have. What they see to the public now is junk. This 27 inch TV was purchased for my husbands father day gift the 1st of June 2004.
The end of August the TV starting having color issues and would go to black and white lines, if you would turn it off for over night it would work the next day for several hours and then quit again. I putchased it at Walmart and they refused to exchange the television and told me to take it to thomson's. I called only two places to take it so we called and the man came to fix it and said within a few moments that the needed to take it into the shop. He said it would be 4-5 days for repair. 4-5 days went into weeks and when we called he said he could not get it to fail. So to avoid a deleivery charge my husband picked it up.
The tV did the same thing as soon as we got it home. I called Thomson's again. They now tell me that they will only pay 80.00 toward the labor and rest is on me. Like the other lady, it sets in my living room gathering dust, 300.00 that doesnt work. We purchased another set for my husband...and its not an RCA and we will never buy another RCA product due to the fact that they would not handle this problem and do not stand behind thier products.
And get this...I keep getting renewals to put out my hard earned dollars on an extended maintenance plan. I called and asked the girl why they expected me to purchase something from them that was just a joke, could I just send them a check for the "you are screwed fund" so they would not hook someone else with this bull. She replied she would get a supervisor...35 minutes on hold and no one ever came. I own my own business and I can tell you that I would not be here today if I treated my customers the way they do, but I am just a small mom and pop company and can't afford to screw people, and now that I think about it, I wouldn't if I could. All I can say is Run Nipper run!!!
